And even while I'm living in the Catskills, I'd still managed to drive down and see him because he's that good. But, I had to start the search for someone new- which isn't easy after decades of loyalty Alas, I recently had an initial consultation with Dr. Nora, and it was more like a thoughtful Q&A than a rushed check-up. She's sharp, attentive, and clearly knows her stuff. I felt reassured by her knowledge and up-to-date expertise in dentistry. Pine Street Dental is located inside a multi-use medical building in Kingston, NY. The moment you walk in, you notice the spotless environment and that same level of cleanliness, carries right into the dental office itself. It's a well-kept, professional space that instantly puts you at ease. Dr. Nora's gentle touch and calm demeanor immediately put me at ease in the chair. She consistently checked in with yes/no questions, allowing me to respond non-verbally with a simple hand gesture while treatment was in progress. Plus, she made sure I felt heard, even when I couldn't speak. That kind of bedside manner, really sets her apart. Dr. Nora's care was so thorough and comforting that I left feeling genuinely grateful and surprisingly at ease about future visits. It's rare to say this about a dental appointment, but I'm actually looking forward to going back. Her professionalism, gentle approach, and clear communication made all the difference.

BEWARE! The Worst Periodontist. Thief AVOID N. GEORGE…read moreHABEEB, PC at 272 Clinton Avenue in Kingston, NY. The facts: Based on my experiences during two highly regrettable visits, I implore you to seek-out a true professional. * George Habeeb chose to locate his practice in a condemned automobile gas station. It is filthy and disorganized with old and dusty files overflowing from shelves. The unsanitary treatment room is poorly maintained, and outfitted with antiquated equipment. He does not care for his patients. Based on firsthand treatment results and billing practices, he definitely overcharges (comparatively speaking) for inadequately performed treatments in a potentially infectious environment. His teeth cleaning involved a simple tracing of the gum line. He made no effort to utilize the tool effectively for plaque removal between the teeth. Not once did he apply the tool below the gum line, which is always the 'norm' during all previous hygienist cleanings at other practices. He also forcibly scheduled a surgical procedure. When asked for details, he stated intentions of removing (perfectly healthy) gum tissue between two teeth above receding bone. When questioned regarding potential for restorative allograft while retaining existing gum tissue that would improve the condition, he said; "What I'm doing will not make it better.". He then turned his back and muttered; "I'll read up on the procedure." before laughing under his breath as he walked away. Extremely unprofessional. Patient reviews are crucial tools that empower each of us to make more knowledgeable choices when selecting the best available medical practitioners. We all need to read our gut instincts after meeting a doctor before deciding to go forward with dental or surgical procedures. If in doubt, always schedule that crucial second opinion with another highly regarded specialist before being rushed into anything irreversible. It is your body, your money, and your future! Best wishes to everyone looking for the best possible results.

I have to dispute the other on-line review. I have been a patient of Dr. Habeeb for over 15 years…read more I have found him to be an extremely nice person, and has seen me for several emergency calls that needed immediate attention. My condition required the initial 4 quadrant surgery which gets rid of infected gum. Not pleasant, but perhaps necessary for future health. Nothing he did ever hurt, except for maybe the deep cleanings that are done without anesthesia. The one-star review claimed that his cleaning did not go below the gum line. That is simply not the case. Perhaps he didn't feel it, because most of the time you don't. As far as cost goes, well he is an out-of-network practitioner from my dental insurance, so it wasn't the cheapest option around, but that is to be expected. He was highly recommended to me by my dentist at the time. We did agree on numerous political matters, as he listened to NPR a lot, as do I. I never found him to be sarcastic to me, and I did trust his work. I have never seen any other periodontist (except for his son George Habeeb), so I have little info to make comparisons. It is true that the practice does appear to be at the site of an old gas station, which has not been in operation for decades. This is irrelevant to the dental practice. I always wondered why there was no sign in front for the practice, but this is obviously personal on his part. Many people in Kingston know him professionally and personally. I did come to pay my respects at the funeral home when his wife passed. There were blocks and blocks of cars, and hundreds of people who came to pay their respects. Unfortunately, I just received notice that he is retiring (for the 2nd time), so I will have to find another periodontist locally; not an easy thing.

I have United Health Care Medicare Advantage Choice Plan 3 which has sixteen (16) Dental In-Network providers (Ulster County). Before making an appointment I confirmed with my UHC Plan that Oral examinations and Cleanings were covered by them (Ticket #: S507962091) as long as I had any of these two done by an in-network provider. I called the said Dentist Office to make an appointment and informed the clerk/receptionist of the type of insurance coverage I have, etc. She assured me that there would be no problem billing would be done in the proper manner. NOWFOR THE FUN PART: A day or two prior to 12/01/2021 I received an "AMOUNT DUE" of $6.28 - in turn I sent an E-mail dated 11/30/21 4:44pm to the "Hudsonvalleyofc@dentalcarealiance.com stating the above coverage mistake. Not knowing if the E-mail was given to the proper employee, the next day (12/01/21) went in person to the Dentist Office and after a fashion was presented to a Nicole. To make a long story short, Nicole checked with my insurance company, etc. and had to call me back as she was just so busy. During the call back she stated that I had received services from an out of net-of-net work provider and I was being charged according to the Offices Fee Schedule. But, the Office would accept the $6.28 instead of the total of A hundred and some dollars ( this phone conversation I did tape, but failed to let Nicole know she was being taped - legally that is my mistake). 12/04/21 I received an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from UHC and sure enough the Dentist Office BILLED FOR AN OUT-OF-NETWORK DENTIST. NOW WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY I WAS BILLED BY AN OUT-OF-NETWORK PROVIDER WHEN THEY WERE MADE AWARE OF MY INSURANCE COVERAGE AND THERE ARE (or were) SIXTEEN IN-NETWORK PROVIDERS?
