I eat a lot of Indian food and this was pretty good stuff. We went for a late night dinner after a day of Parisian fun; very spur of the moment. The restaurant has many seats inside and outside, it was a Sunday night and the patio was pretty busy so we decided to enjoy our meal inside. The decor is very cultural and the place is pretty clean, the bathrooms could be cleaner.
There are two lunch menu options and one dinner; my friend and I shared the dinner for twenty-two euros. We got the kebab, butter chicken and tea for dessert. The naan is not complimentary, you don't get a basket for free and they bring it at the start of the meal. I am used to getting at least one free basket of naan with my meal and they actually bring it with the meal, unfortunately this was not the case for this dinner, they brought complimentary rice and I have to admit that I was disappointed,
The kebab was really good, it was hot, tasted fresh, had some spice and enough for two people to share. There was free chutney offered and their green one worked really well with the flavors in the kebab.
The butter chicken was a little dry. Once again it was enough for two people to share and was definitely tasty but in all honesty: I've had better.
The tea was AMAZING!!! It was full of flavor and very tasty, I definitely recommend it.
The Bad: I am unsure if these guys ripped us off because we couldn't speak french. The menu said free bread and rice but we were charged for the naan and no other bread was offered. Also, in the dessert option of the meal tea was one of the options but they told us we had to pay an extra 1.50 and they didn't offer us any other dessert. That made me pretty upset.
The Good: We got complimentary wine at the start of the meal, that was nice and the staff was very attentive throughout the meal and made sure we had enough water.
However, I wouldn't really recommend this place, the food was meh and nothing out of the ordinary. Stop in for tea though, that stuff was great! read more
