Sometimes you can't get a straight answer. I just called and asked if I can make an appointment for today or tomorrow. He says you can walk in and get your haircut done by two other guys that's not what I asked him. I wanted an appointment with the guys who know how to cut hair and not take my chances on someone new, guy's too busy to take on new clients good for him, though that's why at least I gave him two stars next time just tell me I can't get an appointment made until you have time next week Monday, Tuesday whenever losing lifelong customers this way read more

So my Baber which I usually go to took a months vacation. I had know choice but to look online and yelp on reviews because I have a trip to soul korea this coming week. So I took my shot and went in and was stunned to see my old old barber Mr. Jack Perez! I was introduced to him before covid started by my cousin. But after covid like all buisness, some last and some people find carter changes. Long story short if you have any doubt in your mind on haircuts or what kind of look your looking for? Jack Perez is your man. I promise you ,you pay for what you get. Old school and cought up to the new styles for men! read more

With out argument the Best haircut in the Bay area Sam is a refined barber with exceptional attention to detail... Look no further... Appointment required.... Lower your ears no where else if you want the Super Superb & Supreme! Done Steph read more

Super! Everything I'm looking for and at a good price! Only downside is you've got to book up to 6 weeks in advance, but well worth it!! And, it's not just Sam who is great but other barbers there as well, and you can likely schedule an appointment sooner. For example, I have also had a few great cuts with Randy. read more

I don't like leaving negative reviews but I found this place on yelp so I feel compelled to do so... the experience itself wasn't terrible, the service was decent but the hair cut was so terrible. My son hates it and it's really just a terrible hair cut- the fade isn't smooth and the top part just doesn't blend well with the shorter sides. I was hopeful because it's close to home but... will not be back. read more

There's a new barber at Sam's! His name is Jack Perez. Due to sensory issues, my son gets his hair cut maybe once a year. Today he wanted a mullet. Jack did not disappoint. He looks terrific! Thanks, Jack. read more

I started going to Sam's a couple of months ago. Sam is quite popular and you need an appointment, (from what I saw of his clients, its easy to see why!) Gil (long time barber, pre-dating Sam's ownership) takes drop-ins and does a terrific job. Its a comfortable, old-fashioned barbershop and very resonably priced. read more

I took my son in for a cut and Sam did not disappoint! He listened to what we wanted and my boy is looking fresh and clean! Thanks so much Sam! We will be back! read more

I've been on a journey searching for a great barbershop in San Leandro and to you I present Sam's barbershop! Recently, Sam switched from drop ins to appointments. Make sure you get a spot because his schedule fills up quick. Haircuts ate $20 + tip. Sam is precise and takes ample amount of time to make sure you get the exact haircut you are looking to for. read more

Note: he semi-recently changed to be appointment only, which is good because the waits were getting long. Make sure to call AT LEAST one week ahead. Sam is the best around, thats why he has a week backlog. He's friendly, he'll chat with you if you want and he won't badger you if you dont feel like talking. In terms of the haircuts he is solid, if you dont have ideas about what you want he works with you and helps figure something that looks good. If you do know, he gets it perfect. He goes slow, in a good way! And makes sure to get everything exactly right. Don't go in here expecting a quick in and out, which should be a good thing for you. He can do any special kinds of cuts. Tapers, fades, whatever you need he is good at it and does it with ease. This is the spot to go! read more

I have been coming to Sam's since I have moved back to San Leandro for about a year now and it is always nice to have a place to go for a reasonably priced hair cut. Sam will also work with you if you want to put a custom design in your hair, it's not a problem. Sam and his fellow barbers have perfected their craft and I encourage anyone who is looking for a local friendly barber, definitely go check out Sam's! read more

Sam's Barber Shop - Who needs a tattoo when you got Sam's craftsmanship! - Barbers Near Me - San Leandro, California

Every time I've been to a barbershop or hairstylist I've always left disappointed with my haircut the next day. But I cannot say the same for Sam's. Every time I've gone to get my haircut it had come out amazing. Sam really knows what he is doing and like any good barber should he really discusses with you about what will work best with your hair. He is also very thorough with his haircuts, usually I have lots of long stray hairs, but with Sam everything is nicely cut. He takes his time to really make sure your hair is perfect. The only downside is that it gets a little busy and sometimes the wait can be long. But he is reasonably priced and there are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat nearby. I highly recommend Sam's barbershop and particularly Sam himself. read more

Great service and great fades by Randey. He took his time and even went as far to assist me in finding what worked for me and my hair. Def going back to see him.. very happy with my cut. Go see him Thanks Randey read more

I came and tried to get a haircut here and the older guy looked at me and said to the other barber "I don't do beards". Dude didn't even have enough respect to say it to me. How am I supposed to trust someone to cut my hair when he can't even trim a beard. He also can't do any specialty cuts or basically any modern day cuts. So if your looking for a bowl cut he's your guy. The Old guy was super disrespectful. You can tell everyone goes there for the young guy he was the only one that had appointments booked. The only good thing is there's plenty of parking. I wonder why. read more

Old man ruined my line up so bad I asked for my money back. Asked for a taper didn't get that When I went to him to complain he said I gave you the the fade you asked for. First off no. Fades and tapers are wayyyy different . The young guy should have stepped in and said off bat we don't know how to do those styles here and I would have respected that and left . read more

Sam is an awesome guy. Aside from having really good barber skills, he is very easy to talk to and laid back. His prices for hair cuts are affordable. He really takes his time and makes sure he's providing the kind of style you like. You just have to make reservations very far in advance, which i completely understand. read more

This guy is good. So good that you need appointments now, which actually makes it easier. The lines in the past were long if you worked a regular schedule during the week. Very professional shop, good price, and most importantly, all the barbers there really take the time to do a great job read more

This barbershops is decent , I took a chance and stopped in to see about making an appointment. To my surprise they definitely take walk ins and I recommend you ask for Randy!!!! He got me in with ten minutes and did such a great job I would recommend him to any guy looking to get a clean cut and he even did my beard trim all in under 30 minutes! A+++ Randy's your guy in that shop, I am actually so happy I finally found a cool guy that can cut right!! Hope this helps you all out when you decide to have Randy do your fade, you won't regret it! read more

The last thing to fall into place in my move to the East Bay was finding a good barber. I tried many before I found Sam. Just blocks from my house, too! I don't know what took me so long to try Sam, but this speaks volumes: I haven't been to any other barber since. I spread the Gospel of Sam to anyone with hair! He's a busy guy, though, and he has his priorities straight because he knows what quitting time is and takes good care of his young family. So don't expect to get right in. But when you do, you won't go to anyone else again. Five stars PLUS for Sam's Barber Shop and Sam himself. read more

You got a young dude who only cuts by appointment, and charges extra, otherwise theres two old guys to cut your hair. One is so old he can't hold a trimmer without jerking it around and gouging your head, the other old man has some kind of attitude. Very unfriendly and poor haircut. You don't want to waste your money here, find another barber shop read more

I've been coming here for about 5 years and was lucky enough to find this place out of convenience, not thinking that I would find my go to barber, Sam is exceptional in his craft and not only that he is a good dude as well. As long as I live within a 30 min drive of Sam`s Barbershop, this will be the spot. read more
