I began my journey with the Sample Room just over 12 months ago. I had no design experience whatsoever and had never worked in the fashion industry either. I just had an idea for a new activewear range that I wanted to bring to life. After researching several companies to help me do this, the Sample Room had all of the tools and guidance to help me achieve this. This "pattern maker" is sloppy to say the least. I couldn't believe the mistakes on her patterns / grading. Don't be fooled by her confidence! The ONLY thing the Sample Room did well was raise an invoice. Horrible experience. I know of many others that have had a bad experience so it wasn't just my bad luck. There are factories here in Melbourne that will NOT do any work for you if your patterns are made by this woman. I want to give her negative stars - or at least none. read more

If you're looking to start a fashion label but you're overwhelmed by what's involved Sample Room will walk you through the process step-by-step, holding your hand the entire way. I had a dream to start a children's swimwear label but with a background in PR I was drowning in an industry I knew very little about (and making plenty of costly mistakes along the way). The lovely ladies at Sample Room helped make my dreams a reality and a year later we launched a beautiful/high quality/ecofriendly and ethical range.
