I went in for a nail service last week, and the technician removed my acrylic nails by forcibly prying them off instead of properly soaking them, which is the safe and standard removal method. I repeatedly stated that I was in pain during the process, but the technician continued to pry the acrylic off, causing significant damage to my natural nails and nail beds. Before this appointment, my natural nails were healthy and undamaged. Since this service, I have experienced ongoing pain, tenderness, and now signs of infection around the nail area. This was not only extremely painful but also negligent, as improper removal of acrylic nails can cause trauma, open wounds, and infection. I am documenting this review because this situation should not happen to any client. Proper removal procedures exist to prevent exactly this type of injury. Due to the damage, pain, and now medical concerns resulting from this service, I am considering further action regarding this matter. I strongly advise future clients to be cautious and ensure proper removal methods are used to avoid the damage and injury that I experienced.
