When the time finally came that I needed a shoe cobbler's services, I did a few quick searches in my area and kept coming up short. I recently bought a pair of secondhand loafers online that were an absolute steal by a brand that I really love. I thought to myself, "How did I find these at 1/4 of the cost!?" I immediately had to buy them and when they arrived, it turns out the seller greatly misrepresented the real condition that they were in and they were in severe need of repair. The heel was chipped on one shoe and nearly falling off of the other. The corner where the leather joins with the top of the loafers was also torn on the left loafer and I was PISSED. I decided to widen my search from my area and came across Giovanny's Shoe Repair shop, located in the Curry Ford West / SODO area, and I was glad that they had great reviews. I first spoke with the owner on the phone and let him know the kinds of repairs I needed which resulted in a few text messages exchanged showing him photos of my damaged loafers. Within minutes, he gave me a very reasonable quote to replace both heels and repair the torn leather. 1 week later after dropping the loafers off, I was thrilled to see the repairs AND that he included black edge dressing! They looked nearly brand new! I was so impressed and relieved that the secondhand purchase wasn't a complete bust! In total, the repairs cost me $65 and I was able to wear these in time for an event. 5 star service all around. Hope to do business with them again soon.

I had tried several different shops to attempt to make this repair and no one was able or more likely interested in this work. When we walked in the shop was very quiet but also very well organized and clean. The gentleman cobbler was working on several orders but stopped and took the time to look at our vest to assess if it was able or cost effective to repair. He was very friendly and professional. In the end he was able to repair the vest, and even took the time to reinforce the stitches so it would happen again. The cost of the repair was very affordable and it only took him 2 days for the repair turnaround. I would recommend using Ted's Shoe repair and don't be turned away by the current low ratings on their yelp page.

Of course when i pick them up the soles were painted black and polished to a very very dark blue (they look black). I left the shoes there to "be fixed" and returned 2 days later to find the shoes now spray pained gloss brown with over spray all over the shoes. I was infuriated! I said I will fix them and i would like a refund. I was denied a refund because the heels were indeed put no. The shoes now look plastic and are basically garbage. I paid money for Teds shoe repair to ruin my shoes. Avoid this place like the plague.
