Pulpo marinado, octopus, nice n chewy, potatoes no flavor
    Terri M.

We came here for dinner one night. Employees are super friendly. They brought us complimentary hummus w bread. Was super good. My daughter is super picky and wanted extra bread to take with her and they gave it to her. she got pasta Bolognese and loved it. I got the octopus. I actually put the hummus on top of it and it made it even better. The potatoes didn't really have flavor though. Today we went to he breakfast buffet. If you go to their " Spiel" which is stupid listening to Vidantas timeshare crap, you can get a buy one get one free breakfast buffet which is $20 each. But there are a lot of choices of food.

Kale salad with no kale. Still yummy!

Great service! Free warm bread and butter and tasty hummus. The steak arrachera was delicious! Got it with rustic mashed potatoes instead of the mustard ones and they were not hot but still tasty. Mayan nachos were also good portions with salsa, guac and a green crema sauce. Will be back!

Great buffet with DIY mimosa and Bloody Mary Bar during breakfast hours! Awesome selection of breakfast and lunch items and great poolside setting. You can't go wrong here.

    Catch of the day (Salmon)

Came here for lunch while staying at the Grand Mayan. Ordered the tuna tostadas (so good), catch of the day (Salmon with roasted veggies and green apples, so delicious) and of course a margarita (just the right amount of goodness). Also, let's not forget the delicious complimentary bread and hummus... delish. Definitely recommend this place, I'll be back!

Pretty darn good breakfast with wonderful service. Omelet station should be larger to accommodate the amount of diners. It good all around.

Came here for a quick breakfast. Breakfast was buffet style but was not as big as other locations on Vidanta property.

The place has a following, so I don't feel bad about giving this review for only three stars (I'm an easy grader). I enjoyed the vibe, and the service was good. The crowd is 60+. Mostly expats. I was underwhelmed and honestly, disappointed by the food, unfortunately. I had very high expectations, given the recommendation. The fare is midwestern US with attempts toward flavor. Believe me I know what I'm talking about because I grew up in a food desert in the American Midwest. It's not Mediterranean. The meats are all undercooked (although they warn you) with liberal use of butter, salt, and cheese throughout. This is like an Olive Garden. I enjoyed my dinner with friends, but won't return unless it's to the cute store.

We ordered quite a bit: Margaritas (they had a buy 2, get 1 free special), calamari, guacamole, ceviche, and baja shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos were tasty but served on a radish instead of a traditional tortilla. This was unexpected but okay, especially since it reduced my carb intake, lol. Service was quick. It's outdoor seating, that is covered, and there was a nice breeze. The restaurant is very cute, with great decor. Bathrooms were clean!

The atmosphere is absolute chill, no over bearing waitstaff but you always feel like you are taken care of while you are there. Our waiter is Mauricio who is an absolute superstar. You think it, and he is one the way with it. The preparation of the food is top notch, pulpo is done to perfection and is a good size entree, the molcajete is enormous with individual flavors all presenting themselves while you eat, and did I mention it is served somewhere molten lava. There are multiple areas to dine, outside in the garden area, inside(with air conditioning) or at the bar. Staying in Nuevo Vallarta, make this a stop for dinner

The Asian chicken soup was deeply comforting and flavorful; light yet incredibly satisfying. The tuna poke was beautifully presented and spot-on with flavor; fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced. Then came the chicken Alfredo... and wow. Rich, creamy, indulgent, and honestly one of the best we've ever had. Do not skip the hibiscus agua fresca (called Jamaica in Mexico); refreshing, slightly tart, and the perfect companion to the meal. My hubbs even said that if he had to choose one restaurant in Puerto Vallarta as his favorite, Mi Café would be it for its consistency and value. Charming ambiance, thoughtful presentation, and genuinely warm service make Mi Café an easy recommendation. We'll absolutely be back.

It wasn't a place that would indulge your weakness for gluttony. That was fine by me and Jamie W since we were looking for something tasty but not excessive for breakfast. We were in luck because we found such a place in Mi Cafe. We thought we'd have to wait a while for a table, but fortunate for us, a table opened up just as we entered what looked to be quite a popular restaurant. Jamie went for the MX$165 Popeye Eggs, a pair of scrambled eggs laid on a bed of fresh spinach leaves, ladled with ranchero sauce, and presented with avocado, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil and crispy bacon strips (Photo 10). The freshness of the ingredients really enhanced the flavors of the dish. The same could be said about my order, the MX$165 Vegetarian Omelette which was a fluffy two-egger filled with zucchini, red onion, spinach, and sliced mushrooms accompanied by seasoned potato wedges and a fresh fruit cup (Photo 9). No toast needed as the plates were quite satisfying on their own.
