A couple years ago, after some heavy rains and the effects of a couple past earthquakes, the patio…read moreand cover collapsed to the point of it being unrepairable; as well as side fencing from neighboring yards. I have known Sam and his services for a very long time, with projects he built and completed with his Dad. So it was a no-brainer to call him up and ask him to build a new patio for my Mom. The careful diligence he took in thinking what would look best, it's functionality, and high quality planning was apparent as time went on for a few visits. This led up to sketches Sam made for my Mom to look at, but instead of building a new patio, he suggested and designed a Pergola! Mom loved the idea, as well as something new, and subsequently asked him to complete the project. The work, detail, building was so impressive and great, my Mom asked Sam to also tear down and build new fencing on both sides of the patio, as well as a fencing in the back perimeter of the yard. This was ALL better than my Mom and I would have imagined! The aesthetics of the patio and yard dramatically changed for the better, and the way he crafted everything to fit in and showcase the surrounding riparian area was perfect. I have a few other projects in mind to upgrade the house and yard, and will be calling up Sam in the future to take a look, and how he can equally improve the physical nature of the house and yards. Why else would I call anyone else?!

Wow, what a find! Armando is an incredibly nice guy who really knows his stuff. He came out to my…read morehouse for an estimate as promised. I explained what I wanted (replace an outdoor sink and countertop in our backyard) and he had some useful suggestions. He gave me a price, very reasonable, for labor and said the parts would be separate. I could buy them or he would, whichever I preferred. I picked up a quartz remnant from a local shop, ordered the sink online, and Armando bought the wood. He was frugal in suggesting we reuse parts wherever possible. He completed the work within a day and I couldn't be happier. A crummy little sink and countertop that we haven't been able to use in the 31 years we've lived in this house is finally an attractive and useful component in our backyard "kitchen". Armando is incredible and I'm certain we will be using him again. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I truly regret having to write this review. I hired Oscar for two large projects and I was happy…read morewith his performance. He has several photos from the projects posted on this site. The first time he made a significant mistake, which had to do with improperly installing gutters on a roof that caused the rain to fall all around the building, he was not particularly happy about having to correct it, but he did so. More recently, I discovered that when he remodeled a bathroom, he installed the bathroom tub spout improperly with the valve upside down. Initially, I thought maybe the new hardware was defective. However, it took me about five minutes on YouTube to realize what the problem was, which I confirmed by having a plumber inspect it. Unfortunately, Oscar had tiled in the installation, which will require the problem to be fixed by going in through the drywall behind the bathroom, at significant expense. I texted Oscar about the problem and asked him to correct it. I could see that he immediately read my text. However, he did not respond. When I tried to follow up, I discovered that he had apparently blocked my number. After having paid him tens of thousands of dollars for work, I was shocked to say the least. I guess when he doesn't anticipate any more checks coming in from you, you are dead to him.
