The picture on the left is the arrangement delivered just this morning versus the pics on the right side which is what is represented on their website and what we ordered. Yes, the ordering experience was easy and they delivered on time which is appreciated. However, they used a bunch of filler greenery and leaves and not nearly enough flowers. A cheap looking rendition of what is advertised. Not to mention, we did our own measurements. The height of the arrangement was just under 11" and the width just 14" - again short of what is advertised and paid for for a Premium arrangement. I didn't bother calling to complain because other reviewers have commented that the service is rude and gets you no where. So here is my review backed up with pics. read more

Went to order a Prom Corsage for next weekend. The lady said they were no longer taking orders. A week before, okay fine. I asked if she knew anyplace else locally that makes them. Her response was shrugging her shoulders while giggling and laughing "No." Her rudeness was completely unnecessary! It will be the last time I visit there!!! With graduations, proms, recitals and many many more events that comes with having four children it is ALOT of business to miss out on! If you can't handle a simple corsage a week before prom how the heck do you manage funeral arrangements with just a couple days notice??? Do you laugh at grieving customers too or just teenagers coming in for important milestones in their lives??? read more

Decided to buy local instead of one 800 flowers and received for the second time a complete bait and switch. You would be shocked by how bad and how unlike what was ordered was sent. I am going to give this company the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake they're not the same color nor size nor vase nor message. I got the flowers for my wedding from Sam Rao and they looked beautiful! Much more reasonably priced than what I was expecting. Flowers were delivered to the hotel where the bridal party was getting ready right on time and the bouquets arrived in vases to keep them fresh until the ceremony. read more

Ordered a corsage that we needed last minute online through this florist- said same day delivery. Almost 2 hours later they called me and said they were refunding me and they won't do it because they're running out of time. Don't advertise on your site that you can do same day delivery if you won't. It's false advertising. I've used this florist many many times- won't shop here again, will advise my friends and family members don't use- will recommend my friend who is getting married this year not to use as well. read more

My order did not match what I selected online at all! I ordered 2 of the same arrangements, delivered to different addresses. I called the shop to order. I don't mind the color change. The basket does not fit this arrangement at all. Too big. I did upgrade to three plants other than two. It looks like a Easter basket compared to what I ordered. I am disappointed. RUDE and NOT confidential I agree with the other reviewer that the establishment is RUDE. I called to inform them of a confidentiality error (they gave a billing slip with my personal information to a recipient who was receiving an arrangement on behalf of our organization, not me personally) and they repeatedly cut me off saying "We do NOT send that information"/"We did not do that". Yet, the recipient came to let me know that they are sending my name and address with the arrangements I ordered online. The RAO employee then handed the phone to someone else, who was also extremely rude. After she repeatedly denied it as well, I informed the woman on the phone that good customer service would be to apologize for their error and work to correct it in the future, and her response was, "Don't tell me what to do! What, YOU'VE never made a mistake?!?" She then proceeded to tell me that it was likely "the computer's fault" and "Don't you work with computers... don't they ever make errors for you? WHAT, YOU'VE never made a mistake". RAO wanted me to make my employee bring the slip to them as proof since he "does not live that far away and they do not give out that information"... When I told her I am not making my employee go out of his/her way to PROVE that they did something, she threatened to call herself and tell him to, and then hung up on me. WOW. Organizations make errors, I get it. It is the way in which those errors are handled that really shows someone's true colors. Having multiple people at an establishment behave in this manner shows me that the organization supports the way in which this was handled. Denial, defensiveness, and blaming a customer when you made a mistake is not promising. I have made many orders over the past few years, including flowers for my wedding and multiple orders on behalf of businesses (no idea if this info has been handed out each time), and after someone informed me they are sending my personal address and billing information out upon delivery, I will never use them again. Beware if you are not looking to have your personal information given on a delivery slip. The ONLY place my name and address were entered when ordering was for the credit card information and CC address verification. Other companies simply deliver the arrangement and information provided for the card, as expected by the person placing an order. While this may not be an issue for everyone, there are certainly times when it is. Do not expect the billing information provided to be confidential. read more

I called to place an order for flowers for my mom. The woman who answered the phone was disgustingly rude to me. Throughout the phone call she had a piss-poor attitude, even while I was being nice, and didn't seem to want to help me at all. I was about to drop over $100 at this establishment but this woman's horrible attitude made me change my mind. Eventually I just told her "You know what? Nevermind, I'm going to call somewhere else with someone who is nicer." I placed my order through St Agnus floral and they were very gracious and kind. My advice to Sam Rao staff- hire someone who actually has decent social skills. You lost a customer thanks to this woman. Don't waste your time with Sam Rao, take your hard earned money elsewhere and to someone who will actually treat you like a human. I am disappointed with how I was treated by that woman. You guys are surrounded by plants and flowers ALL DAY, and you're rude?! Funny. People call florists for anniversaries, valentines, weddings and funerals- you'd think your staff would have the decency to be kind over the phone. I would give less than one star if I could. Rick and the rest of the staff are so amazing. It is one thing when you have good, quaility product, but it is another when you have staff that actually care about their customers. Sam Rao's did the flowers for my brothers funeral and they were so unbelievably beautiful. Flowers are the type of thing that requires advice from the experts, Sam Rao's knows what they are talking about and most importantly you can trust them. Never have I ever dealt with a florist that has gone ABOVE and BEYOND for me during such a difficult time. I highly recommend.
