My mother-in-law passed away two weeks ago and we had her service last week. The one thing that we wanted was beautiful flowers, which they were with a sash that says "Mom". I said something about "mother" and my husband said "no, it has to say Mom." and the flowers showed up without a sash. The only one the funeral home had was loving mother so we had to use that. I live across the country in LA and it was too late to order from one of those online flower companies like Urban Stems (which I had been less than happy with anyway since they've sent wilted flowers before). I ordered from Westcott Florist's website and they delivered to her door and followed special instructions to come at a specific timeframe where I knew she wouldn't be taking a nap. Delivery was fine until I saw the photo of the flowers that my cousin posted to her social media for it to look NOTHING alike the flowers I ordered online. I am so disappointed. Would steer away from this company at all costs. I made an order to be delivered to my girlfriend as a surprise and unbeknownst to me there is a rule where recipients must be notified of the order, something i've never heard of before. When I called to confirm delivery, after learning my girlfriend was notified I was understandably confused and upset. I was then put on hold and a rude gentleman i assume to be the delivery driver spoke to me in a horrible tone and called me an idiot which lead to me deciding to cancel my order and request a refund. It's hard to support small businesses when they're unprofessional and unaccommodating. read more

I would like to first say that I rarely ever write bad reviews and it takes a lot to make me upset. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very rude. They also lied about the delivery and said they were gonna do it a day later without even calling me to confirm if this was ok. Also there isn't a price they ask you how much you are willing to pay. Flowers were ok but when my daughter called about a ribbon it was an additional $13 and wasn't even that nice. The only reason this shop doesn't get a 5 star rating is because the first time I called I spoke with an incredibly rude man. I called 20 minutes before they closed to see if my order went through, only to be informed he could "not look that up because they were about to close." If you're too busy to do something 20 minutes before you close, then close 20 minutes earlier. It's incredibly rude otherwise. read more

I ordered flowers about a week in advance and I asked them to arrive at the location before a specific time. I understand that on their website it states that special requests are not guaranteed, but it wasn't a holiday and it seemed as though there should have been enough time to get them to the location for when I requested. I LOVE this florist!! My favorite part is that I live three hours away and receive a postcard that reminds me of an order that I placed one year ago for a birthday EVERY year. Not only is the reminder nice but all I have to do is call with an order number and they have all of my information on file and within 3 minutes I have a completed order. Second experience with this florist, flowers delivered were not wrapped in anything, no paper, no box etc, this was a winter delivery, arrangement was pretty but flowers were brown edged and some wilted, I called to relay this to florist shop and they did nothing to appease me, were flippant and had an oh well attitude, there are may florists in syracuse I would not recommend this one. read more
