I needed to replace a decrepit split-rail fence running across the front yard of my house. I tried locating a suitable contractor last year (2023) but came up short. This year I started earlier and met with several contractors in the hope that at least one of them would be a stand-out. I was in luck. I reached Adam Beal of Beal Fence. I was initially referred to him by a knowledgeable source. We spoke by phone a few times about my project and photos were sent to clarify the scope of the work. In time we met at my house in Lyndhurst so he could view the site and gather enough info to develop a quote. I like him right off and all the remaining interactions confirmed my decision to use him for the job. Over two days on the job he and his team were hard-working, open to questions and discussion, thoughtful in how they went about selecting all the materials and installing my fence and very meticulous in how they installed each post and rail. The end result was a fence so good-looking that a neighbor stopped by and eventually chose to have Beal Fence handle their project based on our fence.

I've intended to write this review for a while. I don't often write reviews but I feel if this is…read moreabsolutely necessary. I must highly recommend MH and E Excavation and the owner Mike. Quite frankly I had no idea what to expect. There was a massive project in our backyard and Mike came in at the middle bid. From the beginning, he seemed like he had a plan and he seemed to have the experience to get it done. Either way, it took me about a month to make a decision but I hired Mike and his crew to level my backyard, remove trees, and reinforce a creek wall to support the increase in the volume of dirt and land in that area. They showed up on time, actually got the job done a day sooner than they had anticipated, and did a fantastic job of tree removal and grading the newly excavated area. Again I highly recommend them. More people should write reviews in the Ohio area so that they could better understand publicly who's good and who's not. So I want to publicly let people know that Mike and his crew do excellent work.

I called numerous drainage companies to deal with our back yard, which is a swamp 11/12 months a…read moreyear. From the FEW that actually had the courtesy to answer my call, make the appointment, show up on time and then provide a written quote in a timely manner, Jason at AB Drain won the job hands down! He spent over an hour at my house on a Saturday evening going over the causes of the constant water pooling in my yard and answered every question in a way that I could tell he knew his stuff! I made my mind up before he even left my property that night. When I received his quote, he was extremely thorough explaining each step in great detail, something that was severely lacking with the other few quotes I received. The best part was that his price was under our budget and was the second lowest but included much more that the others did not include, such as hauling away the excess dirt from the french drain, grading out the yard afterwards and using high grade piping instead of that black corrugated garbage!! He kept us in the loop approaching the start date and throughout the job itself, providing us updates daily. I wasn't there for two of the days but he took hundreds of photos during the job that were awesome seeing how it all came together and what is now under the grass!! His crew worked their butts off without taking lengthy breaks or talking on their phones all day...God bless them! Jason was on the job the entire time, which you don't see often being that he is the owner. He was just as dirty and sweaty as his crew at the end of the days. It took them 5 days to install 400 feet of french drain, a sump pump and then 300 feet of downspout drains that all drained into a small retention pond he installed at the back of our farm. I won't lie that I questioned whether it would function as he promised but since the install it has poured many times with local flooding even. Those rains would leave out yard as a swamp for weeks afterwards but not now! It all worked in unison and leaves our yard functional, dry and our plot able to take on seed for the first time in a decade without washout concern! These guys are top notch! Jason provided a transferable lifetime warranty on labor, which was not offered by any of the others who submitted bids (and charged more than him)! I would recommend them to anybody that appreciates attention to detail, quality of work, personalized customer service, and an all around professional approach when in a similar drainage nitemare like we used to be stuck in! Bird and Bean definitely handled the job . Amazing quality work and completed in a very timely manner. Very affordable compared to other quotes.
