I wanted fish and there was only one plate on the menu. A note stated that since it was not possible to get the variety of fresh fish at this time of year from Lake Constance, they could only offer the one choice as they would not lower their standards and serve frozen fish. I ordered the fish and my company ordered the roast beef steak with caramelized onions, both came with pan fried potatoes. We ended up trading half of each dish and both were by far the best meal I've had in Germany! Good wine, good service, good atmosphere...it was a fantastic evening. It was like a four-course tasting menu for two. Our selection consisted of the Hariri; Chicoree Orangen Salat; Gerostteter Blumenkohl; and Schweinebauch, Wilder Brokkoli, Kkarttooffel Wasabi Puree. The Harira arrived. It was a small bowl of Moroccan soup with a mixture of small pieces of vegetables in a delicious broth. The Orange Salad with endive lettuce was perfect with a nice topping of pecorino cheese. The third tasting of Roasted Cauliflower with a spicy sauce was delivered. Didn't know how I was going to like this dish because cauliflower is not one of my favorites. It was delicious. The last taste little dish arrived and it was another beauty - perfectly cooked pieces of pork belly with wasabi mashed potatoes with a bit of broccolini. Four excellent dished. This is a good quality restaurant and the reason I couldn't go there twice was that at that time I just couldn't afford it. They have authentic, high quality German food.
