This is a tiny, intimate place, with only a few tables, doing evening meals only. As well as the menu, there are blackboard specials. Regrettably, on the night we were there, many of the dishes were off. It seems to be run on a shoestring, with a tiny kitchen. It's almost like dining in someone's home.
I had Thai fish curry and basmati rice, but unfortunately the fish was added to the souplike curry sauce, rather than cooked in it, so not as nice as it could have been. My partner had butternut squash risotto with spinach, & goat's cheese. For puds I had homemade ice cream (banana and salted caramel - tasting like banoffee pie - with prune and honey rum). My partner had the last of the poached pears, with stem ginger and brandy snap ice cream. The bill with wine was £37.75 for two.
Not good enough to attract us back, unfortunately. read more
