It's a very simple storefront - some fresh produce outside, right by the parking area, and then just an open façade for walking in to purchase the seafood. It's a bit tight inside, but the folks are friendly and welcoming and there was never really much of a line to order seafood. If you want crabs, order ahead of time so you can tell them exactly when you're going to want them ready. When I arrived to pick up my dozen male crabs, they were steaming hot. They were reasonably priced. Some of the seafood is super local, others they get from the mainland. I opted for some Chincoteague oysters which were so deliciously briny and fresh. The crabs were also locally and recently caught. Sometimes you gotta be ready to buy what's been caught, you know? That being said, I also enjoyed our rockfish that they had purchase for selling. Maybe next time I'll get some of the clams too. While the main draw is the local fresh seafood, they do sell a few other items like local hot sauces, seasonings, and even equipment like crab mallets and oyster knives (which was good, because my rental property didn't have one and I didn't want to shell out $20 extra to have my oysters pre-shucked). It's on the side of the road off route 13, so keep a look out or you'll miss it. We drove here on a Saturday afternoon to get some crab legs. Simply put... The best crab legs I've ever had. You win some and you lose some when it comes to buying crab legs as some are just better than others based on freshness and quality. These crab legs however, were absolutely perfect. With the specific instructions to steam them for 5 minutes, they came out as tender and flavorful as I've ever tasted. No butter or anything else needed. This small little place on the side of the highway is an absolute gem. The lady who works behind the counter is as knowledgable as can be about everything regarding seafood and she woos you with her southern charm. She told us just the right amount to get based on how many people were going to be eating them. As far as I'm concerned, this is the only place to get seafood in the surrounding area. Fresh, high quality and exceptional.
