We stopped by around 7:30pm on a Friday night and were able to be seated almost immediately after we said it was okay if we sat outside. They do have a good amount of heat lamps so the cold was tolerable. The food was pretty good. Overpriced by Turkish standards but normal by American standards. We got the Saltbae Burger and one of meat dishes to share. The food itself was pretty good. Service and vibes were okay. The burgers here are an experience. The beef is truly high quality and the options available all seemed so good I couldn't decide! The burgers come fairly quickly and each patron is given a pair of gloves so you don't get too messy! I loved my burger so much, but the amount of cheese made it so rich I couldn't finish it. When in Turkey I had to try salt bae. And they always rave about the burgers so I had to give it a try. Staff is very friendly and they speak English which is a plus for English speaking patrons. Ordered the double juicy burger. And truffle Parmesan fries. It also comes with gloves to eat with. The burger lives up to its name, very juicy and delicious. Cooked to perfection. I believe ham was also in it, I couldn't tell. The fries tasted magnificent as well. Highly recommend. I enjoyed the best burger I have ever had in my life, and I have enjoyed a lot of burgers... and in some legendary burger spots. I have to admit I was not impressed with Saltbae' stunt at the Super Bowl, but it did get my attention. In fact, that's what drove me to to try this restaurant which was nearby. The simple fact of the matter is that there is no hype. His burgers reign supreme. I opted to try his signature Salt Bar Juicy Burger need to have it cooked as recommended. I was told it was medium well done. When it came out, it was perfectly done, and looked more like medium rare to me. The bun is black the black comes from squid juice. The squid juice is not something that can be tasted, but the freshness of the bun, and its texture was perfect. Of note the bun never got soggy and was easy to hold from start to finish. I don't know where all the juice went, but it went somewhere as the burger was in fact juicy I also don't know what kind of cheddar cheese they use, but it was off the hook, probably the best cheddar cheese I've ever tasted on a burger. Just enough flavor and creamy taste and the texture again was perfect. On top of the burger was a thin slice of barbecue meat. The meat did not have an overwhelming barbecue flavor. In fact, an added texture more than flavor. As far as I could tell the hamburger meat itself was of the finest quality, this is what really turned me into a fan, the other accoutrements were perfectly balanced. Saltbae Burger is located right next to the Galata tower and is a fast food version of a famous Saltbae steaks place. It's very reasonably priced, and the quality of burgers is pretty good. They do have a vegetarian version as well but , surprisingly, it was way too greasy (but I guess it's not their speciality). You can order to go or stay and eat. It's usually not too busy because you can find cheaper and better eats nearby. I think it's worth trying if you are craving a burger while in Istanbul! read more

I haven't been to any other Saltbae location, but I had the privilege to visit the one in Istanbul, Turkey. To start, the burgers are phenomenal!! It was cooked perfect, nice and juicy and with great flavor. My favorite was the triple mushroom burger. The fries were also good and crispy just how I like them. I wasn't impressed with the onion rings. I felt they had no flavor and were super greasy. Also the shakes were not that good. Dont get me wrong, when they bring them to the table there is definitely a wow factor for presentation. But the Oreo one was filled with mostly whipped cream and the consistency was not thick enough for me to consider it a worthy milkshake. The keko Shake has a slice of red velvet cake on top which was decent but I probably would just stick to the burgers when I return. I cant remember the name of the cocktail pictured but I do remember it being very very good. So good that I had 2. And lastly, the service is just okay. They're always very busy and it doesn't seem like they have enough staff for the business they get. I will say that I think the cruise port is relatively new and im sure they're even busier with every cruise ship that docks there but hopefully that will get better with time. I wish I could write a lower review for this restaurant but I just cant. Dammit, I follow Salt Bae on IG and i find his posts just so annoying.... but then I cant stop watching them!! Im glued to it. This is our second Salt Bae restaurant visit and it was delicious. I hit up the steakhouse in NYC which is stellar and that is an under statement. I can't wait for him to open more burger joints around the world. They are going to make a killing. The burgers are unique and the presentation is just as unique as the chef himself. We had the octopus tint burger which was so perfect and we had the SaltBae Burger. You know his famous tagline "WOW" and we could not stop that word from coming out of our mouths as it was prepared and presented at the table. read more
