It's beautiful and comfortable and everyone I've met there is extremely professional and friendly. But second, I can't say enough good things about Jolean. After having my hair done by the same person for 25 years, I was nervous about finding my new person when I moved to Paso Robles about 8 months ago. Well, I've found her! Jolean is kind, sweet and a wonderful person. But she's even more impressive with doing hair. She's meticulous, careful, and has an excellent sense of what will look best with your type of hair, complexion, coloring, etc. She also listens to what you want and really integrates what she thinks will look best with what your goals are for your hair. I've seen Jolean three times now and I've been thrilled with my hair every visit. So if you are new to Paso like me and looking for your "person" or just visiting and would like to get your hair done for an event, make an appointment with Jolean. You won't be disappointed!

I wish I'd taken a before pic as they nailed it! My hair felt soft, healthy and the color was perfect. I only need to go in every 6 weeks or so now, and I am so happy. For some reason I assumed she had moved out of the area and was doing hair elsewhere, so I found another salon on Yelp with good reviews and called to make an appointment. I have very unique needs for my hair so I asked if there was someone who specialized in my hair type. They gave me an appt with a stylist and I assumed I was in good hands. I came to my appt armed with about 4 photos of what I wanted my hair to look like - all they while knowing that there would need to be some modifications. Needless to say, the cut didn't turn out well but the color did. I paid a quite a bit to have my hair butchered and was encouraged by some friends to go back to have it fixed. But if he messed it up once, why chance it again? Thankfully I grew a brain and decided to look Tami up. I was willing to travel for her to fix this mess. Thank the Lord she is still local! Botched and overcharged!! This is hands down the worst…read moreexperience I've ever had at a hair salon. Just look at this hack job, I wanted solid black hair. I'm autistic so having to call and talk to her to make an appointment, instead of booking online is bad enough. I can hardly understand her accent. The whole time she did my hair she was much more rough than she needed to be, painfully pulling on my scalp. When my hair was finally done and had been dried, I headed to the front desk she GRABBED ME BY THE SHOULDER (wtf?? Do not touch people without consent!) and insisted she needed to "comb" it. She ran a flat iron through my hair, despite me saying that I didn't need her to style it and I don't like to unnecessarily use heat on my hair. She never told me the cost, but I naturally assumed it would be cheap because the salon is not as nice. It is dilapidated, and the posters on the wall show styles that havent been on trend since 2004. But she charged me $150 saying it's because my hair is long, but Ulta doesn't change the price based on length. Hair color there only costs $81-$102. The higher price is for a master stylist, which Suzy clearly is not. She also has the audacity to only accept cash, so I had to go to the ATM and pay a withdrawal fee. I went to Ulta afterwards for my tinsel and the stylist there was SHOCKED at how awful it was. She took this picture for me. The dye was not rinsed out of my hair, it was still CRUSTY and she PUT A FLAT IRON ON IT LIKE THAT. And as you can see, the color is patchy and uneven. I had to get the color redone, overall having to spend twice what I should have on my hair. Go to the Ulta hair salon instead, they are so much better in every way!
