There's a number of classes offered inside of the park's main building and I often see family reunions and parties being held on the grounds at one of the several pavilions. Tennis lessons, karate lessons and personal training is all offered there, either by private parties or park sponsored I'm not sure. I often see yoga being taught/instructed early in the mornings when the weather is good. I often use the track around the park, and the new addition going in front of the police station is welcomed as the loop is now a mile long. Overall great small town park offering lots of options for individuals and families.

We napped in the sun, and watched boats and birds go by. While we did not go up the tower or in the wildlife area, we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing day here. It's a little early in the year, so we didnt see too many people. One note, the two bathrooms we used both had stairs. Im sure they have bathrooms that can be accessed without stairs, but I didn't see them. One note, there are picnic tables near the road to one of the boat ramps. As I was driving through a small child ran out in front of me from between to parallel parked cars. No big deal, I was driving like an old lady, but highky recommend keeping an eye out if you drive through there.

This is a family park and family's gotta use the bathroom. They only have port o John's. That's fine for a county fair but for a year round experience they should have more options. Also they only have 1 way out in the parking lot to use until you check in. The line during the fall is massive and 1 doesn't cut it. I love the animals but it felt a bit more tiger king to me at points. I didn't understand the other non farm animals. The reservation system while in practice is nice needs work. We went during a busy time of year and didn't know we had to make a reservation until we got to the front of the line. That was 30 minutes in the heat with 3 toddlers. I get that it is on their website but it is not will shown. We heard multiple people also complain that they came and couldn't get in. Maybe a sign in the parking lot, reservations required with a QR code. I wouldn't make the the drive. But your kids most likely would like it.

I stayed in the Mill House Cabin, which is now one of my favorite rentals of all time! Sitting on the underside of the bridge, you have no neighbors shy of the ranger residence up a private driveway leading to the visitor center / aviary area. With great access to trails, walking distance to the restaurant, and pretty much central to everything while being secluded and private at the same time. I did one of the ranger-led night floats, for a little history and a night sounds segments, which was also amazing! The park is relatively near to Chattanooga or Fall Creek Falls as well if you are interested in day trips!
