My brother in law 's automobile broke down in Beaver, Utah. He was on his way to our house in Washington, UT. I called and booked the Salt Lake Express, The pick up was at The Flying J , at 8:05 pm. He was visiting with a couple before the shuttle arrived, and they offered a ride to him, they were going to St. George also. He declined because I already bought him a ticket and the shuttle would be there in about 20 minutes. In the meantime an employee told him to double check with SLE, sometimes they forget to stop if they don't know they have a passenger pick up. He relayed this to me. I called and told the representative what he had been told and she put me on hold while she called the driver directly to make sure he would stop. I was told that that had been confirmed, he knew he had a pickup. She also explained how to use your website to track the bus. I was tracking the bus and so was my brother in law. For more than an hour, the tracker did not move, it was South of Nephi, and just sat there. My brother in law and I started calling SLE, but could not get anyone to answer. After a long amount of time, I just figured it was broke down. He finally called and said he was going to get a hotel for the night, not knowing what time the bus would be there. Right before I turned out the lights, probably about 10:13, I decided to look at the tracker again, and the shuttle was almost to Cedar City. What?????? I could see on the tracker he went by Beaver and the stop that was just North of it. I contacted the company the next day and asked for a refund and asked for him to be compensated for the motel room. They not only compensated him for the hotel, they refunded the bus ticket price and gave me a $50.00 credit with the company. This was very much appreciated and I commend them for addressing their problem. I did not give them a rating, the bus passing by would have been a #1, but the response from the company was a 5#. read more

Disappointed in professionalism (or lack thereof) and service. Approximately a week prior to needing a ride from St George to Mesquite, I booked a one-way ticket for 2:10 pm for Saturday, January 31, 2026. I arrived approximately 25 minutes prior to departure and checked in. The two young ladies at the front desk seemed to be preoccupied and went back-and-forth about the departure. They said they checked me in and to just wait and my ride would arrive. Approximately 2:20 PM, I went back to the front desk to make sure I hadn't been left. After some more conversation, I was told the van had been canceled. WTH??? Why didn't you tell me that when I checked in? They claimed to have reached out to me the day before, but that I did not accept the call and my voicemail was full. There was no missed call and my voicemail has never been full. CYA. One of the young ladies at the front desk was talking to maybe a manager, named Jamie (?), he was less than professional as he told me there was nothing they could do for me except refund my money. No resolution or help. Someone had to drive from Mesquite and take me to the party that was supposed to be leaving at 2 PM (time change). Had I been notified when I first arrived, they could've left earlier and picked me up, although it was an inconvenience. But instead, everybody waited for me, and we were running more than an hour behind to our destination. Never again will I trust such an unprofessional company. read more

After reading many negative reviews I was a little worried about my reservations. Fortunately, the driver assigned to my shuttle, Mike, was above and beyond expectations. He was on time, called customers, waited for the customers, and talked to customer support about those on his manifest that weren't showing up. My trip was from SLC airport to Vernal. Maybe it depends on the destination and if you're on a shuttle or a bus. It might also matter when your plane arrives. You should probably book a flight with an hour gap so you don't miss your ride. My experience has me feeling confident I can be a return customer without being disappointed. My only complaint would be the seats could use a wipe down. read more

Absolutely horrible. I made the mistake of wasting my money on this "service" when I rode the Salt Lake City Express and it took 6 hours for a 3 hour drive. They were late, rude and unprofessional, and threw in a random hour and half "transfer layover" halfway into the trip. I had to wait with two other passengers at a gas station because we were dropped off for a different shuttle to pick us up. After the transfer shuttle was more than half an hour late the driver still took a prolonged "rest break" then was upset when asked why we needed to wait so long. This is definitely the last time I'll ever waste my money with this company. when they're late (which they are every time) they don't discount the rate but if you're late they won't bat an eyelash to leave you. They have increased their prices, hired less than capable employees, especially the drivers, and are NEVER on time. If you like wasting money, are not a fan of customer service, promptness, value for your money or clear, correct communication, use this service. Otherwise, I would HIGHLY recommend a different alternative. I would rate them a negative star if possible. The owner should be embarassed for running such a piss poor operation. read more

My wife was literally standing at the stop to go to the airport when they called and said that the shuttle broke down and the next one was available 8 hours later. That's it. You're on your own and it's not our problem if you miss your flight. Why not pay an employee to use their personal vehicle and reimburse them? Why not have a standing agreement with a local car rental agency for an employee or the customer to drive in emergencies? Why not pay a taxi a negotiated rate and absorb the cost as good customer service? Why not have either of these options take them to I-15 in Brigham City where perhaps another shuttle coming from Idaho could pick them up? You cannot use their service if you aren't sure it will be there when it matters. Never again. read more

Bamboozle alert! I rate this company minus zero. Paid a lot of money for my ticket and daughter's ticket. They advertise saying its a coach but it turned out to be a shuttle vehicle without a bathroom. Advertised having wi fi and outlets had neither. Driver was not a good driver and could not relax because everyone was on pins and needles worried about making it to our destination safely. Called and complained because it was warranted. Reno confiscated their vehicles because of safety violations. The owner Jacob Price should get out the transportation business until he learns how to run it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Also I want to note: on they way back they let a passenger bring a full grown German Shepard dog that shedded and was not in a carrier. P.S.S.This is a follow up from the last review. The owner or management sends the same answer to everyone who writes bad comments. Seems like it's the same crappy service. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY! My shuttle arrived 25 minutes before the scheduled 8:30pm departure time. The driver, Vic, was excellent. Very friendly, accommodating, and provided great service for our long drive from SLC to Rexburg Idaho. Free water too, which was nice. We arrived in Rexburg 10 minutes before scheduled 1:00am time. There are USB ports under the seats for charging your devices. I was able to watch movies and charge my tablet and cell phone. I liked that they phoned the riders who were not on the shuttle yet. That was really going the extra mile! The driver waited as long as he could. I'm so grateful for this shuttle service because it really helps those of us on a tight budget. I found a super cheap flight and then the Salt Lake Express was only $50. Although I didn't have the solitude of a Lyft ride, my wallet was happy to carpool with other passengers on a bus to save moola. I would have given 5 stars but I had confusion on where I should wait because there was no sign at the airport. There were PLENTY of signs for other ride commuting services. I feel the Salt Lake Express needs to push for signs since they are at the airport several times daily. Yes, they have it written on the receipt to go to Terminal 2 at Door 11 (if you remember to print that out), but there are three lanes and when travelers are in a rush and stressed, signs would help tremendously. I'd like to recommend the Salt Lake Express consider making an APP so customers can tap for directions to walk to the pickup area, provide the drivers phone number (some travelers forget to disable airplane mode so even if the driver calls them, they'd never know). I'm sure developers could include other app features to have travelers request a refund for missing the shuttle, or a request to catch the next available shuttle. Happy and safe travels read more

Regarding the response from a male named Heather please explain publicly how you can cancel and refund a reservation LESS a $20 convenience fee by email but can't change the date on a reservation for someone who states they cannot call in because of a disability. When I asked if I could mail my request in all I encountered was more hostility. Hey Heather man if you really do feel bad like you claim please refund ALL my money because I've canceled my entire trip due to this horrible experience. Heather it was a non refundable vacation package that I cancelled because SLE refused to offer a reasonable accommodation so I could have my reservation changed without being forced to call in. When someone claims they have a disability it's NOT YOUR JOB to prove them to be a liar it's your job to retain customers am I right or wrong (especially when I offered a doctor's letter explaining my disability)? Please return ALL of my money! Thanks in advance Heather because I'm the type of disabled person who never shuts up when it comes to companies who blatantly discriminate against passengers with disabilities. And thank you Yelp for allowing me to post a real review based on a horrible experience fueled with disdain for customers who require special circumstances. Customer service is terrible. I waited and their bus showed up over 30 minutes late. There was a big group waiting in Rexburg. I already arranged other travel option. I saw the bus coming so know the departure had to be at least 45 min late. I requested refund before the bus had shown up. The company only offered a credit for future travel. I protested and 4 days later got email confirming they would refund, claimed their bus was 20 min behind which is a lie. Then were retaining $10 for their failure. I can never recommend this company. The right time for the bus they had driver and bus there but he stated he was not the driver and left empty. There is no way this bus could have made it to the destination in time to make my flight. You cannot depart 45 min late without seriously impacting the journey. Especially with extra stops. My biggest complaint is that they are not willing to refund when it was completely their issue. Repeated attempts to put me on the hook for their failure indicates an attitude that they cannot be at fault. I have not taken them before but can imagine this is a habit if irresponsibility. read more

Horrible service. Hidden fees and inhumane cancellation policy (be warned -- 24 hours in advance is not enough!) Sick child? Tough luck! Plane got cancelled? Pity on you! If you DO cancel, they will charge you an airport access fee (even if you didn't access an airport) and a tip for a driver whose ride you did not take. They *might* refund a tiny portion of your overpriced trip, but more likely thumb their nose and issue you a useless credit which, unless you haven't learned your lesson yet, you will certainly not use. Imagine how bad the ride must be if the cancellation is so horrible! read more

My husband I rode the salt lake express to the slc airport to go on our honeymoon. We didn't have to drive in the snow, pay for parking at the airport, and my husband got to enjoy a nap for a couple hours. It can be a little expensive depending on the time of day, but they send out emails with discounts almost every month which we've been able to use. We've had nothing but good experiences with this company and will keep them in mind for future trips :) read more

Worst service EVER!! Left my group waiting for 3 hours for pick up then 3 more hours in St. George. The ETA was 5pm in Vegas and they got there at MIDNIGHT!!!! Not to mention they charged for a hotel drop off and dropped at a bus station. Then they charged the passengers for the fee to go through Zion park even though the call center said the driver would pay. I will NEVER EVER EVER, use these bums again. read more

I've never had such a negative experience with transportation. Both scheduled shuttles for my trip were 45+ minutes late. And in the winter, that's a very big deal as waiting conditions are around 6 degrees and no indoor outlet to wait. On top of that, the driver continued to blast the Air Conditioning for close to two hours. After turning it off, the next driver had discovered that this bus's heating unit does not work. It is -1 degrees outside and extremely cold inside the bus. My toes are frozen numb. I have never been so cold with no preparation instructions in my life. Terrible experience and I will not be returning with such unsafe conditions. read more

You put our 2 children in a vehicle for 3.5 hours with 10 people and no air-conditioning on a 90° plus sunny day. We weren't notified before and not made aware until they were a ways into their fare so we couldn't make other arrangements. Providing a future travel voucher for a service we used one time on a rare vacation in an obscure area that we wont ever use or need again...that is not a solution. We would expect at minimum, a partial, if not a full refund for the dismal ride conditions, and lack of serviced you provided for our children. read more

Not just a few minutes, more like anywhere from 25-45minutes late most of the time. My flight was delayed so I arrived after the shuttles leave from Vegas to Cedar City. The company has refused to offer a refund for reasons beyond my control. I ultimately had to rent a car to get to where I needed to be on time. Then the guy tells me you signed the agreement accepting these terms and that's not our problem. O but he did try to issue me a credit. Why would I ever use your service again? Complete hack job from a service based company that is clearly not focused on their customers. *If I could give 0 stars, that is more than what is deserved.* Hello. I waited a week before sending this email because when I wrote the first draft I was fuming and it was not very nice. I hope this one is a bit toned down although I am still very disappointed in your unacceptable service. (Due to the lack of customer service response, this email is now a review on as many websites as I can find. Wish you cold have just made this right.) I have been riding your shuttles for years, literally close to a decade, and usually have semi unpleasant experiences but you're really the only service providing airport transportation, so what are we to do? I have not had an issue in many years (when the shuttle just never came to pick me up at all and carried right on through without stopping leaving me to spend a winter night at a gas station) to bring to your attention and hoped I would never have to again. But my last ride is unacceptable. I rode on December 31st from Boise to Ogden. Maybe the disaster trip was foreshadowed by the shuttle arriving and departing late to begin with but I hopped on and away we went. I find it very disappointing that you have arranged your shuttle stops to provide absolutely no options for a break or for food. The driver would barely let me off to use the restroom somewhere near Jerome. This is a very long trip, leaving quite early in the morning, and to be able to have some lunch would have been nice. But instead of taking our 40 minute (which turned into closer to an hour) break in Pocatello at the gas station with food options nearby, we go to an all but abandoned bus station of sorts to wait out the lunch hour in 15 degree weather with just a vending machine full of junk - sugary sodas, energy drinks and to eat, just chips and candy. This is unacceptable. It makes zero sense whatsoever why the long break is not taken at the previous gas station stop where we at least have the option for a warm hot chocolate or warm food. Luckily I had brought my own food with me, but unlucky for me, the driver said we weren't allowed to eat on the bus and we had another 20 minute stop coming up in an hour and a half and we could eat there. Too bad that stop was at a gas station that literally was going out of business and had nothing to offer. I was able to go inside to use the restroom since the driver said we had a 20 minute break, only to come out of the bathroom and having to run after the bus because he was leaving early and said "oh, thought I had everyone on the bus so we left". Again, unacceptable. I contacted my family to let them know I was a half hour away only to have the driver keep driving right on passed my stop in Ogden. When I finally realized he really wasn't going to stop, I walked to the front of the bus to ask if we were making a detour to exit 343. He told me the next stop was the airport and he said he made that announcement before leaving the gas station, which I had to remind him he almost left me at the gas station so I wasn't on the bus to hear such announcement. His response was only, "oh, right." Then proceeds to tell me that we are now near Layton and can he drop me off there somewhere. I literally laughed out loud. He said we were 12 miles away from the Odgen stop and could I find a ride back to Ogden somehow. Again, absolutely, completely, utterly UNACCEPTABLE!!! He said he did not know he had a passenger going to Ogden then checked his computer tablet while driving. He says, I guess you're right. And I said, I guess you need to turn around. So maybe I was a quite hungry and clearly upset by this point, but I spent that 12 miles back to Odgen typing you the first email. Enraged. Complete utter absence of customer service is pretty much the Salt Lake Express MO (a modus operandi is someone's habits of working, in case you're unfamiliar) but I write this email to you in hopes that for once you make things right for your customer and refund this unacceptable trip I took with you on the last day of 2018. Definitely not the way I wanted to remember you by. Please, make it right. (and no I would not accept a credit as I no longer live in your service area and will certainly not be riding again if I ever am back to visit.) Thank you, and happy New year. I do hope for future passengers, you start adding quality to the service you offer to provide instead of just driving hungry people who just might get left at the wrong stop. read more

On my way to Rexburgh it was a bad experience we left 20 minutes late, then at every stop the bus driver would take 20-25 minutes long. At one point there was car trouble, but the driver failed to communicate that with the passengers. Needless to say I arrived at my destination an hour and 45 minutes late. On my way back home, it was a better experience, Jason was very friendly, funny, and kept us passengers updated on everything. We were even 30 minutes early to our destination. read more

I'm on a bus right now with no working AC and no phone chargers. It is hotter than hell. I'm sweating to death and getting physically sick. I can't believe that they would pick people up in this thing! To make it worse this is the second time this has happened to me. Guess I should have learned my lesson the first time!
