I came across Staged Kids Photography as I was searching on Yelp for a newborn photo shoot for my…read moreson (who was already 5 weeks old at the time). Knowing how important it was for me to have these pictures sooner rather than later, Elzbieta accommodated me into her busy schedule on short notice. When I arrived for the photo shoot, I immediately noticed how large, clean and organized the studio was. Initially I was nervous about taking my son for a shoot during COVID-19 (hence, the 5 week wait) but Elzbieta made me feel at ease. My son and I were the only ones present in her studio and Elzbieta wore a mask the entire time and sanitized her hands often. I told Elzbieta my husband would be late because he would be coming directly from work. And unfortunately, my son had slept the entire way to the photo shoot so he was wide awake by the time we arrived (which meant those newborn poses were not going to be easy to get him into). Elzbieta worked with me on all accords. She gave me time to feed and get my son sleepy again, assuring me that it would work in our favor. I was nervous to be taking time away from our shoot but she told me it would turn out great. During our entire shoot, Elzbieta was prepared, patient, kind, personable, and very experienced in working with children (so much so that sometimes I still want to reach out to her to see how she handled some of the problems I am now encountering with my son!). Working with babies is a skill in itself and it seemed like she had prepared for every scenario in her studio. She made sure I was comfortable in her rocking chair as I fed my baby. When he wouldn't fall asleep, she actually helped put him to sleep herself with gentle swaying motions and her magic touch. She knew how to change his diaper without waking him up. She turned on her sound machine once he fell asleep and made minimal noise as she moved around the room, strategically gathering materials she needed to make the shoot work. Elzbieta was attentive to every detail and accepted any feedback we offered. She made sure to capture as many different angles as she could. When she saw I didn't like something, she was responsive and changed the set/lighting/angle quickly to what I preferred. Even though it was a weeknight and she had made it clear that it was important for her to get home to her kids on time, she gave us extra time at the end just so she could provide my husband and I with a variation of pictures with our baby. Elzbieta had told us it may take a couple of days to get the pictures back to us because she had multiple events to shoot over the next few days (that and she had plans with her kids). We actually ended up receiving all of the watermarked pictures the same night. Because she did such a great job at capturing many of my son's classic facial expressions (while sleeping, smiling, laughing, making silly faces) and of us as a family, we had a hard time narrowing the selection to the number of pictures that were included in the newborn package and ended up selecting many more. I HIGHLY recommend Elzbieta. She is amazing at what she does and I cannot wait to work with her again.

He discussed with the couple and was happy to work with their plans and what they did and didn't want, and very thoughtful about the photography options with great suggestions. He was a super nice guy as well. The day of the event he was professional, very flexible in the face of lots of cooks in the kitchen, clearly knew what he was doing, and really nice to work with. He knew how to compose shots and make them look great. But most important, the pictures came out wonderful! Finally, his fee was completely reasonable and appropriate to the occasion (unlike other photographers we contacted who said they had a minimum wedding fee whether or not it was a large, standard wedding event).
