Salsa on St.Clair is a free annual summer street festival that celebrates Latin culture that runs on St.Clair Ave West from Winona Dr. to Christie St. As the name suggests there is a large Salsa theme to the festival.
I have attended the past two years and it's definitely a lot of fun especially if you enjoy Latin culture. They have free Salsa lessons and demonstrations, Latin music performances on the main stage and a lot of the restaurants on St.Clair Ave West selling food out front. Even though it's one of Toronto's longest summer street festivals, there is surprisingly a fair amount of walking space and not overly crowded during the day but like most summer street festivals in Toronto once it gets darker, the festival gets a lot busier.
It's a great event for people of all ages: teenagers, couples, seniors, friends looking for something to do and families. It's busy but not overwhelming and especially great for people who love to Salsa and love Latin culture. read more
