There was a long gap where I stopped going since they moved locations. I didn't have a car so it was harder to get to the Mack location for me. I have been to their Mack location and ended up getting a hair dresser that had recently been given the go ahead to work on the floor by herself. I had about medium length hair at the time. I do only asked for one or 2 inches off. Little did I know after she was done with the first pass my hair was lopsided and uneven. I was really upset, since it was uneven and significantly shorter on one side than the other. A master or lead hairdresser was insistent that she had to fix her own mess and fuss was allowed to keep chopping off my hair. I recall being so annoyed and upset that they were allowing this person to continue working on my hair. It what is the rule and policy to make sure the hairdresser fix thrown mistakes on the clients. I felt bad for this hairdresser and at the same time frustrated that she was supposed to continue working on my hair. Needless to say my hair was significantly shorter than I had planned when I had stepped into the salon. It was almost 6 inches shorter than I had planned. I'm certain that the whole situation made the hairdresser even more nervous as she realize she had messed up the first pass and felt even greater pressure to fix it after the second and third pass. Remember watching the clock and realizing that the hairdresser that was next to her head cut three people's hair in the time it took her to initially cut and fix my hair. It was pointless to stress out this hairdresser any further and I clammed up let her finish. It was a dreadful experience and wore me out completely. I vowed never to return because I was so frustrated and annoyed at the staff for not helping or fixing my hair so I wouldn't have to have so much cut off. Luckily hair grows back in for me grows back pretty quickly.

I had an appointment that I was running behind on and they let me know that they were going to charge my card whether I got the service or not, I was not a NO SHOW I gave my reasons 4 delay, which were not considered, on this day I had another appointment assisting elderly at a community center in another city, time got away from us but I informed that I would be upholding my appointment, as I spoke she kept cutting me off, was very argumentative she brought up text messages that I hadn't even got about a time change for me to be there earlier, I knew reasonably that I would not have been able to do due 2 prior commitments, that conversation was the worst I do not need to experience AGGRESSION IN ANY WAY from any SOULESS humans... life happens as I explained to this rude girl we can't be in two places at the same time and when unforeseen occurrences occur we have to roll with it either they accommodate the customers or respond in the kind way & offer feasible options to make experiences pleasant at their establishment we are supporting b/c WE DON'T HAVE TO SPEND OUR HARD EARNED MONEY WHERE IT'S NOT APPRECIATED ~ RESPECTED, this rude girl chose not to, I would not suggest for any in that area to support this business just off of this experience alone that uncomfortable exchange was traumatizing for a person who is disabled ~visually impaired, I rate ZERO STARS FROM ME, to add she said that I'm not allowed any get other services in the future based off this MISUNDERSTANDING...     This review is specifically based on the purchase of hair products in the salon. I have not been to…read morethe salon for a cut or style before. I first went to this location in November of last year. I had a blowout at a salon across the state and I really loved the Kevin Murphy hair line. I was able to find a nearby salon (Vintage Room) which also sold his line of products. Yay! I stopped in and was helped by a women (who may be the manager) who smelled of lots of cigarettes. It made me uncomfortable talking to her because I could barely breathe. She showed me what products they had but I could tell she wasn't that knowledgeable about them. She just wanted a sale. I ended up buying a few products that day. I knew the products would be expensive, but I trusted they would work well (which they did.) This leaves me to today .... I stopped in to buy a shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner. I expected to pay about $100 for everything after tax. No big deal. The deep conditioner that I bought a few months ago was now $54! I previously paid $35. I'm kind of just flabbergasted. I feel like they really just change prices randomly -- on everything. I wasn't offered an apology or price check (since the product also has a price on it.) I don't think this is the right way to do business and I will not be back.
