My hair before/after the haircut and blowout. Notice how he softened the edges and blended my bangs in beautifully!

I would rate this salon 10 stars if I could! I went on my birthday for a haircut with Lawrence, and wow! Just wow! I left feeling amazing! He knew exactly what to do with my hair once I went over my pain points -- I'd recently cut my own bangs and was struggling to style them as they grew out. He immediately spotted that they needed to be blended with the rest of my hair and he went a step further to teach me to style them when he did my blowout. Its been a week now and I just tried his technique at home and it worked!!! Thank you, Lawrence! He was a joy to visit and chat with as well! I will be back (regularly) for sure. It's also worth noting the salon aesthetic is absolutely gorgeous, definitely insta-worthy! Same with their sister boutique down the road.

The picture on the left was the day I left the salon, the picture on the right, took three days and three visits to another salon to fix wha

As a hairstylist of 27 years, so I knew exactly what I was getting into when I decided to make a rather dramatic change to my hair. My natural hair color is dark brown with about 75% grey, mostly in the front. I was very clear in that booking request that I needed a master stylist who was familiar with complex processes, as I knew to achieve what I wanted would take 3 to 4 visits . I was also prepared to pay up to $3000. At the consultation I showed her pictures of what I wanted, for those not familiar, It's called a color smudge. I told her that I expected the first visit to be an all over bleach, and that I knew I would not "like" how it looked , because the only level to reach after years of color, would likely be an orange yellow. She assured me she was able to achieve the look I was looking for, so we went to the receptionist and scheduled three appointments, that were approximately five days apart from each other. Ideally giving my hair a break before doing the next process. At the first visit, the stylist began foiling my entire head, and I reminded her of the plan that we talked about and how foiling would be exceptionally difficult for three more processes. She assured me she knew what she was doing, and had everything under control. Needless to say, I did not leave with the progress that I expected on the first visit. While hesitant, I decided to go back for the second process, mainly because it was too late to try to book an appointment elsewhere, and I could not spend an undetermined amount of time with my hair looking like this. During the second visit, she proceeded to foil my hair, a second time, this time only in the front , she also foiled from center part down, and again as she started, I asked her why she wasn't foiling front to back to avoid that runway strip... She said this is just how I do it and I'm more comfortable doing what I know. While the bleach was processing, she brought out a very, very small bowl of color and ask what I thought of. I told her it looked like bubblegum... I wanted sophisticated somewhere between magenta and mahogany. I also advised that I knew it was not nearly enough quantity to fully saturate the back of my head, and do the very heavy low lights that were expected in the front. Her only answer was that's all we have. Now yes, logically I should have gotten up and left, but when you are five days away from your birthday, and you don't wanna show up to dinner with orange hair... You hope for the best you hope that another stylist or a manager or the owner will step in and say this doesn't look like it's going the way it supposed to. How can I help. But that is absolutely not what happened! No it seems that the manager and the owner were too busy, telling her how to get her to sell products. And when I declined the treatment that have been used on my hair the first time because I didn't like the results she came back with well I'm going to send you home with some thing. I thought pool free sample... No as a matter fact after I checked out and left I received a text asking if I could be charged $45 for the product I did not want and then was charged 50. I had a meeting with someone called Ashley, who I cannot believe is actually a business owner because she is the most unprofessional, vile, disgusting, rude, disrespectful, and hateful person I have ever had the displeasure of meeting! The only thing she said at that meeting that made sense was well. The pictures don't lie... despite the fact that she could clearly see I had not gotten what I paid for. She said there was nothing she would do. She said she ran $1 million company and I was wasting her time. So yes, I filed a complaint with state board, the Better Business Bureau and I will see them in court !

It's was my first and I had Camden cut my long hair into a beautiful bop. She's awesome and very talented. I was so nervous to chop so much of my hair off but she made it a easy n comfortable experience. Loved her energy Definitely going to see her again. The entire staff was very nice And professional.

I am in a female vocal singing group and we had a photo shoot recently where we had to recreate hairstyles from 3 different decades in 1 day. I met with Brenda before the day of the shoot and we went through photos and talked about the look we were going for. When the big day came, she took such amazing care of us! Each hairstyle was truly authentic (finger waves, anyone??) and really matched each of our personal styles. Brenda is so sweet and easy to communicate with, and her studio is a quiet oasis perfect for collecting yourself before a stressful big event! I can not recommend Brenda & her studio enough. Thank you a million times and we will be back!!

Many times the stylist doesn't actually listen to me that I can't really do layers, I pretty much need a blunt cut. And then it will take nearly a year to grow out the bad cut. Not so with Brenda! She also has slightly fine, thin hair so she can relate completely. Not only did she listen to my needs for my haircut, she even recommended leaving just a bit more length than I was initially thinking. I like the resulting look, and if I hadn't, I appreciate erring on the side of caution, since it's much easier to cut more than to slowly grow out. She also had tips for where to part my hair and styling tips to help prevent breakage. Brenda was also nice enough to work me in for a same day appointment on very short notice. I'm so relieved to find a good, reliable stylist for Williamsburg!
