I needed a haircut so badly yesterday. I honestly meant to go before the quarantine. When I finally got around to it, well I knew it was time and so grateful that it was time. I wanted to go because Salon Nyla was very sleek-looking and and literally a hop-skip-jump from home. So I jumped on MAX, our light-rail system, and was there within minutes. Following their posted rules, I knocked at the door and was let in quickly. After a consultation with Crysall, my stylist, about the high and low points of my hair, I sat down and let her get to work. Then, with mask on, I was shorn very stylishly and happily. Salon Nyla followed all the rules for cleanliness. I felt that Crystal really listened to me about what I wanted; sometimes I don't always get that impression from stylists, but Crystal not only listened but got it. We had fun together talking and laughing as well. She checked on how I was doing throughout the haircut. I would have to say looking at the results of my haircut I was very pleased. Please be sure sure to book a session with Crystal. I left knowing I would be back.

I had my hair cut by Jeniffer and it was a great experience. She is very nice and helped me a lot with my hair. Very nice salon as well.

This place is great. I've been bouncing between salons over the past couple years, and haven't…read morefound one that really fit. Glamour nails does tho! It's a bright, clean salon that feels really friendly. The people working there seem actually OK with being at work, and there's lots of laughter and chit chat. It's very lively, compared to other places i've been to where the salon employees seem to work hard ignoring you. I had a pedicure and bio gel extension nails manicure. They are *serious* about cleanliness and sanitation. My feel felt great and toenails look terrific. The bio gel nails are a true game changer! They are indestructible, smooth, and easy to file down if needed. I even went back after a week to get a new gel polish. I am really happy to find a chill salon.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR BUILDER GEL I've been here twice before…read morethe first time with Ann for a glazed doughnut mani was great, but she no longer works there The second time I got a mani and gel pedi but the tech did not seem very skilled at basic polish it was all over the place and sloppy before she fixed it But today was so bad I should have taken a video but was in disbelief and was trying to be polite I'm from LA where nail tech skill is VERY good. Today I went in for a full set builder gel and it was the absolute worst technique I could imagine, she applied giant globs of gel at the base spilling all over the edges my nails were fat and lumpy and uneven and then barely any at the tips and I kept telling her this is not proper technique she should be applying an even layer all the way down and she said she would file it later. I kept insisting she stop doing that but she didn't listen. She CURED THEM with giant globs then filed them and I was like you don't see the globs? There not even! They're lumpy. This is the epitome of what every video online wil l tell you NOT to do! I had to teach her proper technique that she should be applying an even layer. My nails looked horribly and she basically had to file off ALL of the builder gel and then go over it with regular gel. To finally make them look normal. The sides are still fat and lumpy. I had to file them myself when I left. I was planning on coming here to get my nails done for my wedding in a few weeks but unfortunately the skill level at this salon with builder gel is very alarming. I wanted to stop her but the gel was on at that point. I'm flying to LA tomorrow and will have them fix it. I'm not trying to be mean but the management needs to teach proper technique. It was low effort and they should take better care of having higher quality skill. Please watch a video online or tik tok of how to apply builder gel if you go here and then compare the technique they are using you will see it is not industry standard. The place is beautiful and I really wish I had a better experience because my first one was wonderful. But the results have been too inconsistent each time

Given the past reviews, I requested a female therapist and my partner had a male therapist. The massages were very firm and strong. They work hard here and got a good amount of knots out. I would describe the massage as a lot of pressure with a Swedish and acupressure style with some Thai massage-like stretches. I think there were instances of the deep tissue massage on my shoulders, but there could have been more deep tissue at other aspects of the massage, though don't be afraid to ask them to focus on certain spots. The place was cold with AC on, but the hot stones they put on your foot, back and neck throughout were warming. The place was separated into various rooms with curtains. To respond to other comments about tipping -- Because massage places like these are deeply discounted costing $40-70 instead of $80-110, I don't understand the issue with tipping $20 for a strong massage. It is still deeply discounted, so keep that in mind when frequenting these "cheaper" massage places - people still deserve a living wage. Would definitely recommend this no-frills place.

I'll call it the deli of massage whenever you're super tight and needing deep tissue massage without the hassle of making an appointment and still having to wait a few days or even weeks. Quick in and out so don't expect any amenities nor compare it to your typical luxury spa. I spontaneous drop in on a Sunday afternoon at 3pm because my shoulder and back were so tight. I got the 90 minutes combo for $70, tipped $20 since it was exactly what I needed with no added luxuries of standard spa. I always loved deep tissue massage so I didn't mind a male masseur. He checked in often with me to ensure the pressure was okay. I asked if I wanted him to walked on my back and of course I did. All and all I was satisfied with my treatment for a very affordable price of $90 total for 90 minutes whole body massage; you can't ask for anything less than that. If you have sensitive skin, perhaps skip the facial massage part since l'm almost certain they use the same lotion for the whole body as well though I didn't ask them to confirm it. Since I live near by so I went straight home to take a shower afterwards. It's best you wear short or shrort and tank top for full body massage. You always have the option to undress to your comfort level or fully clothed.
