The area is spacious and includes a salon area, retail area, gender neutral and accessible bathroom, and another room for additional services like makeup and color matching. The color.matching service is available for individuals or can also be expanded for a group, which sounds like a fun activity for friends at a Bachelorette or birthday celebration. I had my color matched at a Yelp Elite event and was pleased with Samantha's attention to detail-- she gave me quite a few ideas about how to better dress myself easily.

A Groupon and coworker recommendation brought me to it initially, but then I ended up booking my bridal hair and makeup with them too. I think they're still getting used to being a full service salon and trying to create their own identity as part of Panache but under the established Papillon name that is familiar to the West Shore. Cat has done my hair twice and is thorough with her work and receptive to my ideas. Lindsay did my makeup and it was perfect for our wedding! Great location next to excellent restaurants and the farmers market is an added bonus. They're a little pricey, but good nonetheless.

It may have had something to do with me using a Groupon, and her not expecting a good tip of the original price? She didn't engage in conversation at all and was just sort of dismissive. I requested a very simple cut (layers and angles to frame my face) and showed her photos. It took far longer than any cut I've had before, so I actually had to leave while my hair was still fairly damp in order to make another appointment. I didn't realize til hours later that she gave me zero layers. My hair is straight and thick so it just looked flat and heavy at one length. I went to another stylist and she agreed there were no layers nor angles whatsoever and fixed it up for me at a much cheaper price. I'm not sure why it took and hour and a half when nothing was really done aside from taking 2inches off the length. This place has a nice atmosphere, but the service itself wasn't even worth the Groupon price.
