I have been going to Salon Metro for over 10 years be used I have never found another place that makes me feel as welcomed and safe. I have been a consistent customer of Sally's and I would follow her if she ever went to another salon. My girl always does an incredible job with my thick wavy hair that other hairdressers have BUTCHERED. I tell her the idea of what I want and she has never failed to exceed my expectation. This last cut I got long layers, something other salons have messed up, and despite my hesitation, I trusted Sally and the hair cut I walked away with!! I'm generally nervous about going to new places for a haircut, but I am thrilled I tried salon metro. I made an appointment through yelp, which was really easy and they had availability for me to come in the same day. Apparently there was some staff mixup and they didn't have my appointment in their books when I arrived, but luckily, they were still able to accommodate me and I didn't have to wait. Jenny did my haircut (a trim with layers) and she was incredibly personable and talented. Even a week later, my hair still feels lighter and fresher and I've been getting a ton of compliments on the haircut. There were 2-3 other people having their hair done at the salon while I was there, but we were very spaced out and everyone at the salon was wearing masks. Lastly, the prices here are extremely affordable. I paid $40 for the haircut and blowout. Just be aware that they prefer you tip in cash or by check, so bring some with you! read more

This place is a Gem. I was always one to do my own coloring and cutting. I was very nervous to go to someone to get my hair done. I finally bit the bullet and made my first appointment at Salon Metro. I am so happy I did, my hair is so much healthier and the color is just what I wanted. Reggie listened to what I wanted and she did her magic. I have been back twice since my first appointment and just made my third. The entire staff and Owner are super friendly. I am visiting for a period of time from out of town. They had good reviews, were a reasonable walk from where I am staying and so I took a chance. It was a great day! Sally was fantastic! I came in for a root refresh and we got talking colors and fun. And she surprised me with a color I have always wanted but never done. The staff really are seem like genuinely cool people who like being there and like the work they do. So, it was a fun place to hang out in for an afternoon. I have a sensitive head and Sally had a really good touch... and I never actually said anything. The shampoo bowl chair is also quite comfortable! LOTS of wins! read more

I have been going to Metro Salon for about a year and a half. The staff is amazing. They keep up on the latest products and styles by attending seminars and conferences. They are so excited to share new things with their clients. I have always been really pleased with my services which include color, highlights (blurred lines are the best!), cut & style. I have had an updo and got fun colored clip in extensions. They even helped me buy the best blow dryer ever! The decor is warm and inviting just like the staff. They really listen and give great advice and suggestions to get a great end result. A shout out to Carolyn, thanks for helping keep this baby boomer young! read more

I called to get a quote for an updo (more of a fishtail hairstyle) and they quoted me a reasonable price. When I got there one women attempted to do my hair and it was not coming out as expected so another women ended up doing my hair (one fishtail braid, one regular braid and then it was all pinned up). The outcome was successful. Both ladies were wonderful. When I went to pay, the new price almost doubled from what I was quoted originally. I would have appreciated to of been notified of this extremely costly charge somewhere during the process. I would have opted for one braid then. I did not appreciate being blind sighted, it was unprofessional. Better communication is appreciated. I would have happily of given this place 5 stars if only they were upfront about their prices. read more

I heard about Salon Metro from a coworker who said that she couldn't believe that there was a place in Morrisville that looked like a trendy little NY salon.. I decided to try it out, and I'm a believer. The prices are incredible. While I was paying $60 or $70 for a haircut in Princeton, I pay half that at Salon Metro, and walk out with as good of a cut. Now, I have straight hair and a pretty standard cut, so I don't know how well they do color or curls, etc... but I'd give them a try. Worth the price! Plus, I love the products they use.. read more

I live on a small island a lot of the year so hair and any personal maintenance is limited. When I was just passing through to Philly to visit a girlfriend and set up some business I was desperate to try to look like a city girl again. I think I'll have to keep coming back 'cause Regi gave me the quickest, simplest and 'exactly what I wanted hair cut. I know it is always a risk trying someone new but just a few yelp reviews and a little leap and I'm so happy I did. This place is great, reasonably priced and the staff is super nice.
