I am not the type of person to leave a review, no matter how bad my experience was, but I feel the…read moreneed to share this so others know what they are getting into before coming here. As soon as I walked in, the very first thing I noticed was that all the stylists were dressed in very unprofessional attire. My stylist, whom I will not name, was not very knowledgeable about a simple service. I had to explain multiple times throughout the appointment what to do and how to do it. Throughout my appointment, I felt as though my hair was being ripped out, and I was burned multiple times. My hair is naturally curly and lost a lot of its definition. I have never lost the integrity of my hair before, and I have had multiple blowouts and styles done over the past few years. My extensions also lost a significant amount of hair because she was so rough while combing them out, even though they were freshly washed and detangled. I eventually gave up trying to communicate with my stylist because whenever I gave my input, nothing was done differently. The radio station they were playing contained a lot of profanity. The music itself was fine, but the station they chose was not a very salon-appropriate one. One of the other stylists was also loudly singing along to the music, which was extremely irritating and unprofessional. My biggest issue of all was the price. They are extremely expensive for no justifiable reason. There is nothing in that salon that warrants the prices they charge. I paid $140 before tip and had no color work done -- just a blowout. $85 for a wash is insane, especially when nothing extra was included. There was no conditioning treatment, no scalp massage, nothing beyond shampoo and conditioner. I understand that there is normally an upcharge for clip-ins; however, $50 is completely unjustifiable, especially when she couldn't figure out how to do them properly and was raking through them, causing hair to fall out. The extensions were not tangled at all -- I made sure to wash and detangle them before my appointment. She was rude throughout the service and dismissive toward me. She seemed visibly annoyed when I asked for an itemized receipt and was also annoyed when I declined to tip. I understand that tipping is generally expected; however, there is no obligation to tip for poor service, especially when the price is already outrageously high. I was not informed of the price upfront, nor was I told about the extra credit card fee. This place is highway robbery. I would not return here even if it were the last salon open.
