After seeing a hair professional I was told that my hair were BADLY damaged. I recently booked an appointment with someone new at this salon after hearing the previous girl quit. The worst decision of my life I went in for a haircut originally. She suggested a perm and I questioned the health of my hair. She assured me multiple times it was just fine and she "does this all the time" Tiffany, I pray you don't. I am left with hair so damaged I have no clue where to start. I have a BALD SPOT on the front if my head. How am I supposed to cover or re grow that?? 1. The hair cut was pretty bad, the layers weren't blended AT ALL. 2. My hair was literally burned off I have a BALD SPOT 3. She used a $20 treatment without letting me know then "apologized" for charging me All after me tipping her VERY generously for a cut the day before. I am left with a mess that will cost me thousands to repair.

i was inspired by macklemore singing about a girl with "...1988 mariah carey hair. very rare mom…read morejeans on her derrière..." straddling his moped. mom jeans are my uniform and realized i loved vintage mariah so much that i was inspired to get a perm in spite of them always making the worst celebrity hair cuts lists. i barely process my hair and looked for a "curly hair salon" since it seemed curly hair was its own animal as anyone with curly hair will scare you into believing. some women will tell you that shaving your head helps you experience the world in a new way, i would add getting curly hair to that as well. my stylist, elaina, was a pro and eased my fears with knowledge, deva curl products, scrunching technique, and a diffuser. my curls were perfect but a few days into the cut, it wasn't as round as i wanted and they worked with me in spite of a vacation in between, to get me to the cut i wanted. being able to work with you to solve an issue is the true mark of professionals. now i can reminisce with co-workers in their 40s about perms and get them to show me their yearbook pictures.

She's amazing at all aspects of the job; she knew what was best for my hair type, interpreted the style I was going for perfectly, and we had amazing conversation while she was doing so! I even got to meet her amazing kids for a moment as they showed up for a surprise visit for her, and they were so sweet? Case in point, it was one of the best haircuts I've actually ever had, I left a 25% tip and honestly wish I could afford to leave more! Angela is not only an amazing artist, but also a spectacular presence in general. I'm glad that we even have one being a "smaller" town! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and is always immediate on greeting. The store is clean and kept tidy every time I'm in. Although a beauty store, it is family friendly and inviting of those with younger children. I've been in a few time and seen little ones with parents and they have been welcomed as much as someone without. They will color match and help you find your correct shades, they did this for my teenage daughter as well.
