My girlfriend recommended him about 7 years ago and she has been his longest client, 12+ years!!! All I can say is he is the "only" stylist that can get me platinum blonde, not Asian orange and he cuts hair so Fabulous!!!! I made my appointment over the internet and it said my appointment would cost $70 for what I was wanting done.. I booked a cap highlight. I got there and she said it would cost $140 for this tiny section of hair on the top of my head & called it a partial highlight. I've gotten my hair done soooo many times before and this was the ABSOLUTELY WORST experience I've ever had. She ended up doing a balayage on my hair and said it would look like what I wanted. Still quoted $140. So she bleached the shit out of my hair and fried it. My hair was healthy when I went in to the salon. I wanted a platinum blonde she put a dark toner on my hair without even talking to me about it. So I left unhappy. Called and spoke to a manager and she said they would fix it for me. I went in today and got there after an hour of commute there and home, and the manager tells me she spoke to autumn and she discussed with me what was happening with my hair that it didn't lighten good it was "orange" which is a flat out lie. Autumn told me it lightened great. Then put a dark toner on it without even seeing if that was okay with me and lied to the manager and said she discussed it with me. The manager then told me there was NOTHING they could do to fix my hair. I left crying. The "vibe" was horrible. They made me so uncomfortable and upset. Will never go again to this salon && don't recommend my worst enemy to go there. The woman in front of me in line today her hair cut was horrible also... I felt so bad for her... these women in this salon don't care about the people they are supposed to be helping. They will ruin your hair and rip you off like they did me. My hair is fried and SO UGLY. Oh also did no test stream before bleaching my hair. Was so careless and rude. I've known Sharon (the proprietor) for almost 60 years. Sent…read moreher pictures of the style cut(short on sides and back/longer on top) and multi dimensional color(predominately silver/light grey/ light blue undertones) I was asking for. She ASSURED me 4 different times that she had the knowledge and ability to perform both procedures. First, she butchered/shaved my hair with clippers(I have naturally curly hair) very close to my scalp on the sides/back and left it so uneven with very uneven lengths causing it to look uneven and butchered. She did the first step in stripping color out of my hair. Had me wait 2 wks. to come back to finish stripping proceedure and add the color combo as asked for. Thinking she was going to clean up the cut and I could trust her (please don't judge me....I still thought of as my friend), I foolishly pre-paid her ($35 over her asking price). Upon returning for appt to complete all of the procedures,she emphatically assured me that my hair would look the way I asked for, but she was waiting for another stylist to bring supplies(she should've been prepared). She bought me lunch while I waited. Once other stylist arrived (after waiting 1.5 hrs), she was told to strip remaining color. She then delegated the color como to the other stylist(I hired Sharon NOT other stylist) who said she didn't quite know how to proceed and was instructed to "just follow directions on back of tube". Once, "color" was set, rinsed, towel blotted and I looked in the mirror...."shocked" doesn't begin to describe my emotions. My hair was TWO TONED PURPLE!!! I asked if any of the silver would come through as my hair dries and Sharon's reply was "yes". I honestly didn't feel I had reason to distrust her. Left her shop with damp hair. I had to sleep on the situation to be able to text her my anger, disappointment, bewilderment and hurt as to why she would do this(I've absolutely NEVER done or said anything to/about this person I thought of and called friend to warrant this abhorrent treatment). She knew I'd had 4 strokes within the last 9 months and stress is one of the major factors in my condition. Waited a few more days and finally contacted the BBB to report the incident. This happened approximately 30 days ago. It's taken me this long to contact Yelp(didn't know about the platforms on Yelp until 30 minutes ago) to give this review. Now, I am afraid to try another hairdresser to try to correct the mess she created. Also, too embarrassed to be in public with this two-toned purple butcher hack job without a hair coverings. She has no business still in business on ANY level. I pray NO ONE goes through this type of expirience sooo PLEASE do not go to Shea's in Lakewood(Tillicum) Wa.
