DO NOT GO HERE! Penina was horrible. and we still paid her. We asked for partial highlights and walked out with the worst color job in history. I wish I could give -100 stars Just look at the pictures and see for yourself. Would you want that done to your hair?

Stylist: Gloria This was my first visit. Mt twin sister had seen Gloria a couple of time but this was Gloria's "last chance," so to speak. The way my sister described her experience was that Gloria was okay but never gave her exactly what she wanted or asked for. She also mentioned she had to constantly argue with Gloria to get a cut, highlight, color, and style she wanted as opposed to what Gloria wanted to give her. So, we walk in this morning, with appointments. My sister got a root touch-up, cut, and style. We decided we wanted the same modern cut and style. While, of course, it wouldn't be exactly the same (see photos) because our hair thickness and texture are naturally different from each other's, as well as the model's (see photos), we would've been quite happy with a cut and style that was similar with a different color. First, I asked for a partial foil (highlights). But, then, me and Gloria argued because she said my roots would show through. I don't know what kind of highlights she's given her other clients, but I've been getting highlights for over 35 years, and my roots have never shown through unless the stylist put the foils in too far from my scalp. So I ended up just asking for a full foil instead. To be fair, I'm very happy with the highlights and color, but I didn't actually get a haircut. With the foils in my hair, she put me under the dryer for a very long time. When it was time for the shampoo, Gloria started pulling the foils out and asked me if I needed a towel to cover my face. I've been getting my hair done every 5-8 weeks for decades, and I've never had a hairdresser ask me that, so I said no. I regretted that after Gloria got shampoo and water all over my face, including in my eyes and ears, as well as soaking the back of my shirt. When I came back out front, my sister was sitting in a chair at reception, at which time I saw her cut and style. I pulled up the photo and said: "That's not the cut we asked for." It was too short in some places, not short enough in others, and looked NOTHING like the photo. (See photos) My sister pursed her lips (deep frown), shook her head, and said "No, it isn't." I asked my sister if we should just leave. Then Gloria came over, hearing the end of that exchange, and said she wasn't going to cut my hair, just blow dry it. So, she starts blow drying my hair with her fingers, didn't bother styling it very much, then started to blow dry the back of my shirt. After a couple of minutes, I told her she didn't need to dry my shirt. We went to pay. To be fair, the cost was quite reasonable. I did still try to tip her 10% (I typically tip 20% or, sometimes, more), and Gloria said she didn't want a tip. I said "Fine." Then just as we were walking out the door, Gloria said "You must be bipolar." My sister responded "What did you just say? How dare you say something like that!" For that alone, Gloria and this salon deserves zero stars. Gloria didn't offer to fix it. Didn't apologize. Nothing. In fact, Gloria told me "I have 30 year's experience and nothing like this has ever happened." I said, "And I've been going to hairdressers for longer than that, and I've never had a stylist do something like this." My thought is: If Gloria has 30 year's experience, it was also 30 year's ago the last time she received any training. She has no knowledge or experience with modern cosmetology, modern cuts, styles, or methods, or modern techniques. She's probably fine if all you want is a basic cut using 30-year-old techniques, but she's completely lacking in any knowledge, skills, or experience in modern styling and color. Furthermore, she has no idea how to talk to customers, describe the techniques she does use, performing a friendly, professional consult, or, even, address problems or concerns. In other words, she has no customer service acumen and shouldn't be talking to customers at all. To provide customer service, especially for an unhappy customer, you need to set aside your pride, learn the art of empathy, and speak to customers as if you actually care about them. You need to learn techniques for diffusing escalating situations, which you do by using active listening, showing empathy, and proposing potential solutions instead of becoming defensive and combative. Gloria, it's not about you--it's about the customer. Don't go to this salon. It's obviously poorly managed, so much so that Gloria feels, not only justified, but ENTITLED to treat customers disrespectfully and impose her own opinions and values onto her clients who ask for nothing more than "This is the haircut I want." Also, it is quite apparent that this salon does not stress or provide ongoing training to their stylists, which does not bode well for customers wanting modern cuts and color. As you can see in the photos. If you do decide to go to this salon anyway (after reading this review), don't book with Gloria unless you prefer 30-year-old techniques and DON'T want anything modern.

Gloria at Indigo Salon does amazing work. From precision haircuts to amazing blonde highlights. I have been going to Gloria for years now and cant imagine getting my highlights done by anyone else.

Went In with my mother in law for the Groupon offer for her birthday.. GLORIA AND PANINA did an amazing job!! Customer service was amazing and very attentive and helpful. 1000% recommend for the price

    I love my new hair!

It had been awhile since my last salon visit. Gloria was wonderful! She fit me in on a busy day. Gloria is uplifting! She is so positive. Haircut wise, I showed her pictures of hairstyles that I thought may look good but wasn't sure if they'd work w/my face shape & baby fine hair. She looked at them all & told me which would work plus explained how'd she do the cut to give me some lift. I LOVE the haircut & the information! Go see Gloria!

For some reason, Jessica just does it right. I melt into her hands and she gives perfect pressure, she gets all the good spots, and keeps the water warm (if you like it warm). I also love the eucalyptus or water hot towel that's done at the end, so refreshing. I literally walk out the salon confident, sexy, and in a haze because I'm massage drunk and relaxed. This was our third visit, and once again, both my husband and I were really happy with our…read morehaircuts. I tend to write more detailed reviews about hair salons because my hair has always been a big deal for me. I have very curly, frizzy, coarse hair that tends to puff up and look much fuller than it actually is. It is definitely not the kind of curly hair that naturally falls into pretty, defined curls. Without blow-drying or straightening, it can get very unruly and hard to manage. I have been dealing with this hair for decades, so I have had more haircuts, blowouts, straightening treatments, and salon visits than I can count. Because of that, I can usually tell when someone really understands how to work with difficult curly hair. I wore short hair when I was younger, but after a bad experience, I avoided it for decades. About six months to a year ago, I decided to try a bob again. At first, I felt like the only way I could really manage it was by getting a straightening treatment about every six months. Since I also color my hair, I did not want to keep combining coloring and chemical straightening because of the damage it can cause over time. I decided to keep coloring my hair and stop the straightening treatments. Once more of my natural curl started growing back, though, the bob became harder and harder for me to manage. I was honestly starting to think I might have to give up on short hair and grow it out again. That was around the time I found this salon. What has impressed me most is how much easier my bob has been to manage since coming here, even without going back to regular straightening treatments. I am not especially skilled at styling my own hair, but after shampooing, I can now blow-dry and straighten it at home much more easily. The cut itself makes a huge difference. It also grows out really well, which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. -- What really stands out to me is how well Risa listens. -- At every visit, she takes the time to ask how my previous haircut worked for me, what I liked, and whether there is anything I would like to change. I really appreciate that she listens to my feedback instead of simply repeating the same cut. I loved the shape of my last bob, but the back had been cut very short with clippers. Because my hair is coarse and pretty stiff, those very short hairs felt uncomfortable against the back of my neck as they grew out. Since I had not worn my hair this short in decades, I simply did not know my hair would react that way. I mentioned it to Risa, and this time she adjusted the cut and used mainly scissors and thinning shears instead of cutting the back so closely with clippers. I really appreciated that she listened to both what I liked about the previous cut and what I wanted changed. Most importantly, I love my bob again. The shape is clean, balanced, flattering, and very easy for me to manage. I also enjoyed the shampoo service. The brief scalp massage felt really relaxing and refreshing, and the salon itself always has a calm, comfortable atmosphere. My husband had his haircut again too, and his cut came out clean and polished, just like the previous visits. After three visits, it definitely does not feel like we simply got lucky once. The results have been consistently good for both of us. For me, a haircut that grows out well and stays manageable for two or three months, sometimes close to four, is absolutely worth the investment. Being able to maintain my bob this easily without relying on regular straightening treatments makes it even more valuable. That is why I keep coming back, and why I take the time to leave reviews. After our third visit, I feel even more confident recommending Risa.

Both were really nice and attentive to our needs (asking if we're comfortable with water temp, pressure of the massage, etc.) The vibe of the entire place was relaxing and cozy, the area where you get your hair washed is dark with faint water ripple-like lights and relaxing music (binaural?). It was overall a nice experience and I'd love to come back. We had called 15mins after they had opened and we were able to be seen asap! We were given a clipboard to mark our hair concerns and selected what treatment we wanted. I thought I could get away with not marking the long hair bc it's an extra $10 but that's okay. I needed to treat myself dammit! When we were ready we were directed over to chairs where we were told to remove any necklaces or jewelry that would get in the way and a basket was given to us to store our belongings. We walked over to the hair wash stations and laid down. The lighting was dim and music was calm. It was thee place to chill us out! I hadn't washed my hair in 3 days and I was long overdue for a wash! The lady who took care of me was gentle and asked how the water temp and pressure was. She was cautious with the comb, too. I didn't experience any tugging or tangling. The lady lather rinsed and repeated and she would apply extra pressure around my scalp which felt nice. Afterwards, a warm towel was placed over my eyes. The lady began to massage my head and neck, moved me to the left and then over to the right. I wanted to fall asleep bc I was relaxed and at ease. When the washing and massage time was up, our hair was wrapped up and we were brought over to the drying area. We were given another massage that involved our neck, upper back and shoulders. We were given tea and a cookie and we sat under hands free hairdryer which was so cool! Like I can use both my hands to help dry my hair?! So innovative! So efficient! Like I want one for myself now! The lady asked us if we needed any hair products to dry our hair but they didn't have my root lift serum. My hair dried fast and I was able to sip my tea and destress. Yasss. Overall, it was a great "treat yo self" experience. The lady who helped me was kind and gentle, the service was great and our scalps felt clean and our hair smelled good! Reasonably priced for Vegas! I would definitely come back again and do the scalp analysis session if ever I'm in the area again.

My "senior stylist," Evelyn, wasn't available until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. During that wait, I was offered water once, but I repeatedly had to ask how much longer it would be because the staff kept saying "soon" without giving me any actual estimate. When the appointment finally started, I showed Evelyn a reference photo and clearly explained my daily hair routine. I told her I don't use styling products, don't heat style my hair, and simply wash it and let it air dry. Instead of cutting my hair to suit that lifestyle, she used texturizing products and spent a significant amount of time styling it. I even mentioned that I would never recreate that styling at home because it isn't part of my routine. The finished haircut looked nothing like the reference photo. At the time, the heavy styling disguised just how bad the cut actually was. The salon gave me a $20 new-client discount, and I specifically told them to apply that amount toward the stylist's tip. Instead, they processed a separate $21.18 tip. While it's not the biggest issue in this experience, it was not what I authorized. The real disaster became apparent after I washed my hair at home. The styling products had been hiding an incredibly poor haircut. The layers are uneven and completely unblended. There are obvious chunks of hair missing, and the entire cut sits lopsided. It is nothing like what I requested or what I was shown in the mirror after it had been heavily styled. I'm now left with a haircut that is genuinely embarrassing to wear and will likely require another stylist to spend months correcting. Between the excessive wait, poor communication, unauthorized tip charge, and one of the worst haircuts I've ever received, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I absolutely cannot recommend this salon.
