Not only then they find a spot to squeeze us in, but they treated her so sweetly and they were so kind. (When you send your teenagers to get haircuts, that's not always the case if you don't know). They were the cheerleaders she didn't know she needed and they absolutely nailed her hair. What started as one of the worst days of her life turned into one of the best. I used this salon a few times after moving here 5 years ago. The scheduling was not reliable and despite booking master level staff, they wouldn't be available when you arrived. Decided to give them another chance. Went for a consultation the week prior to my scheduled visit. Arrived for my services to be told Rachel called in sick. My recent hairstlyist moved away and Im always reluctant to try a new place upon reading the reviews I thought this would be a good salon. My experience was awkward to say the least and for the price, my haircut is definitly nothing to write home about . For $140 I pretty much receieved a trim with no volume/layers , my stylist maybe said 7 words to me the whole visit and really just made the whole interaction uncomfortable when I already was hesitant with trying a new salon . Im not taking it out on the salon but I just wish my personal experience was better . I may give them another chance just with a different stylist . Also their levels scale is confusing the stylist I chose was a level 3 ... Not even sure what that means. read more

I had to wear a hat until I could get an appointment with another salon to fix my butchered haircut after going to this salon. They had a problem with their scheduling and they got overbooked the day I went in. I asked for balayage and a trim with a few face framing layers. The girl put in my foils and said she would take them out in 30 minutes. She started working on two other peoples hair during the time I was sitting with my foils and 50 minutes went by. She washed my hair and cut it really quickly then blow dried and curled it. When I got home I noticed the highlights were way too bright so I called back to see if she could put more toner in. I didn't wash out my hair, I kept it in a bun overnight and headed there the next day to get the toner put in. I told her she didn't need to worry about blow drying because my hair dries straight. When I got home, I finished blow drying my hair and I was horrified at my haircut. This was the first time I was able to see how horrible it was. I cried it was so bad and I made an appointment with a different salon to see if they could salvage my hair without taking too much length off. I went to a girl named London and while she was a really sweet person, I just cannot recommend this place. I understand it must have been stressful being overbooked but that does not mean you butcher someone's head. (Assuming that's why she did such a dreadful haircut and left the foils in too long?) I will say the color ended up looking nice after she applied more toner but because of the overall experience and the horrible haircut, I will never ever go here again. I know I could have probably called and had them fix the cut but I was afraid I would end up shaving my head. Lol read more

Meghan at Honey + Sage Salon came highly recommended, and I had seen her flawless work on people I know. So I crossed my fingers and walked in with high hopes and a bit of a situation. During covid I had pulled my hair through a cap and thrown a few highlights in it to try to get by. By the time I was fully vaccinated and after almost a year of this, my hair was a hot mess express. So when I sat down in Meghan's chair she was faced with quite a challenge. I wish I had taken before pictures! Once she worked her magic, blew my hair dry, and spun me around I teared up. I was looking at a girl I hadn't seen in almost a year! Meghan is an artist! she had to work my hair with highlights and low lights small piece by small piece to transform a chunky uneven mess into a well blended, toned, amazing head of gorgeous hair! I had an appointment on Friday. I show up. They messed up my appointment was for Saturday. So, I had to wait. I was getting my extensions tightened. Instead, the manager took me . Not at my scheduled time but fit me in. I got a wash and a cut 90.00 not ever quoted a price. ( remember they screwed up my appointment. So, she said I still needed to be tightened. But, she did not have time that day. I was told come back Wednesday inconvenient for me. On Tuesday my favorite customer was being put into hospice that Wednesday morning. I called and asked if I could come later. I was told for not showing up I owed 450.00 for no show. On Friday they were a no show!!! I got nothing but paid another person doing not what I scheduled. After them thinking they charged my card 75.00 . I was never quoted a price. So, I said I would come in and decline the appointment. They still charged me... I am disputing it with my credit card. My lawyer said they had to quote my price . They can't just make up a price. My customer died the next day. They are HEARTLESS! Run fast ! Do not let them rip you off. No compassion. Or FYI last time before this appointment my hair dresser quit. They didn't tell me. Just gave me a new girl. They really need a reality check on how to treat the customers. Palencia stay away!!!! They are trying to to say I called the day of the hair appointment . I texted them I needed to move it. I sent the text my friend was being put into hospice. Again I let someone do my hair that wasn't my hairdresser and I paid. But, sometimes a death should be a reason to reschedule. Gave sympathy please. The pictures were taken for your portfolio. I asked you not to put my short in your pictures. And I didn't call to cancel. I asked to move me to later. He was going to hospice. I don't think you understand hospice. That's right before you die. I did not say cancel. I asked to be moved to later. Wow! This should have never been banned issue. I understood y'all messed up my appointment. But, no sympathy for someone's last meeting before hospice. That's sad. And I didn't choose to pay you. You hit my credit card against my permission. Let's be real. read more

I got my hair done a while back here and it was an awful experience. The girl was nice, but I don't think she knew what she was doing. I showed her two inspiration pictures, and she said she could do it. She also told me that she recommended giving me a trim and I said that I was fine cause I didn't want to pay the extra charge and I didn't see the point cause I did NOT want a hair cut. While we were going through the process she kinda bashed on the aura Aveda salon and said they weren't good after I had said that the times before I went there. We finished around 5 which is the time they closed so it seemed very rushed, like she wanted to get out of there (which could be part of the problem). The hair turned out horrible, it was very ugly. Not at all what I had asked for. Very brassy and just not blended at all. I was very embarrassed of it and wore my hair up every single day and bought gray hair mascara stuff to try to cover up the poor job. I cried almost every single day because of it to the point where my mom made me text her that I wanted it redone. I am NOT one to complain about hair, but i couldn't live with it. Not to mention I paid $375 plus tip which is kind of ridiculous for a girl who just finished hair school the year before. At the redo appointment my mom asked her why it was so expensive and she said that it was because it was a balayage, which it was nowhere close to a balayage (I've gotten my hair balayaged before so I'm not stupid, I'm what it's supposed to look like) , and she also said it was because she cut my hair which was a $50 fee "each time I pick up my scissors it's a $50 fee". Sis did not cut my hair nor did she pick up her scissors. Seems like she took advantage that I was a teenager alone . Then she started to say that my hair turned out the way it did because I use the wrong shampoo. First of all, I'm no expert but I don't think shampoo can do all that, and second of all I bought expensive shampoo after she said suave is bad which I used before. She did not accept the fact that she made it look the way it did. I honestly don't know what she did when she "fixed it" but it didn't turn out any better then the first time. It was actually probably worse. After being so upset with my hair, and saving up some money, I finally booked an appointment at the aura Aveda salon at St. John's town center where Emily said she NOT recommend. Melissa at the aura salon is wonderful, she really knows what she's doing and her prices are not $375!! Kind of ironic isn't it!! I ended up paying around $175 for my hair to be fixed at the aura salon where everyone did agree that it was botched! Basically I paid $375 for a job expected by super cuts, or box dye. Only posting this now because I felt bad for so long which is why I never said anything, but now I don't, I wouldn't want other young girls to waste $375 to get their hair destroyed. No hate towards the girl now, I find it funny, I'm no longer in distress over the situation. I have found my new hair home at aura Aveda salon thx Emily for making me realize that paying more, does not mean it will turn out good. read more
