Took my son here for a standard fade haircut as it was local to us. We were met at the front desk by Joyce Guzik.
I explained to her what kind of haircut he wanted, a simple fade, straight razor on the bottom. She informed me they were not barbers and weren't aloud to use straight razors. But she said she could give him the cut without it, using clippers.
Within a few minutes he was set up in a chair and getting a haircut from Joyce. He was facing sideways and she was cutting the side away from me. Then she turned the chair to start the other side, I was horrified by what I saw, their was absolutely no fade, no gradual decline, and no blending at all (see picture).
I immediately stood up and reiterated the kind of haircut he wanted. SHE COMPLETELY IGNORED ME! I asked her if she understood what I was saying, which again she didn't acknowledge. But she obviously heard me because the other side had some blending (I use that term lightly). When she was "finished" he had blotches of hair on the back of his head and long hairs behind his ears.
I was livid. She even had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to add anything to it at checkout, she really asked me for a tip. Here's a tip, Joyce, learn how to cut hair! Learn customer service! The only reason I even paid for the cut itself is because I would of been screaming trying to explain everything wrong with it. The lady that cuts our dogs hair would have done a better job, literally!
Learn from my lesson, do not go to her for a boys/mans haircut.
Note: I had no interaction with any other stylists and my review is just based off my experience with Joyce Guzik. read more
