I have had the good fortune to have experienced a few of the salons stylist and they are all extremely talented. They listen to your needs, make suggestions follow your lead and leave you looking like 1 million bucks. There are various sundry items for sale from hair care to gorgeous and reasonably priced jewelry, candles, and other fun items. I have always made an appointment, but I do hear them excepting walk-ins while I'm there and I have never heard anyone turned away. My daughter wanted natural highlights be put in her hair before school started. Even though my daughter wasn't quite sure how to explain what she wanted Rakesha understood and delivered! Her caramel highlights look so subtle and natural. My kid is beyond happy with the results! I have paid as little as $12 for a haircut and as much as $100 and been dissatisfied. Today I paid $55 for a great haircut. I was shopping in SLO and my hair looked awful the result of both $12 and $100 hair stylists who didn't know how to handle my thick hair with 2 cow licks. I called at 2:30 pm and got an appointment for 4:30 pm. Perfect! Everything about the experience with Aurajoy was great. She understood what I wanted and had the skills to get me there. The shop is on Emily Street out of the downtown area which means it has free designated parking. I am a seasonal visit to the SLO. I live half the time in Tucson, AZ and half of the time in Pismo Beach. From now on I will only get my hair cut here. read more
