The salon itself has great reviews for the most part. My disappointment lies solely with one staff member, Teresa. I made an appointment to have my hair colored platinum/grayish balayage. The website lists this specialty coloring price starting at 85+. I waited for over an hour before Teresa got started. After giving a thorough background of my hair history and having her look at my hair, I was told that she could achieve this specialty color for me in two sittings. She quoted me $300 and said she would get my hair evened out before the next appointment. She failed at that, as I still had harsh areas with high contrast of basically the same colors I started with. She promised me the results I wanted as long as I bought the Olaplex hair supplement and expensive shampoo and conditioners. She said she would write up an official quote and give it to me, but that never happened. The first appointment cost me over $200, but I was hopeful and trusted her, and even tipped her $30. I held up my end and took excellent care of my hair over the next three weeks. For my final appointment, I was extremely excited to see dramatic results. She took before pictures, and three-and-a-half hours later, she blow-dried my hair and told me it looked, "pretty close." It looked basically the same. She told me I would need several more appointments to get the look I want and that today I owe her another $200+. I told her that's not what we agreed on. She argued with me. I asked her to please take another picture so we could compare. I expressed that I wasn't trying to be rude, but it wasn't remotely close to what I asked for and what I was promised. She rudely spun me around and took a few pictures, started breathing heavily and said that the lighting was bad. (I was in the exact spot as I was for the before picture.) She then said that the picture I showed her had filters on it. [I don't care if the picture had a purple filter. If it did, then that means I want purple hair. If it's what we agreed on then I would think that's what I should get. Am I wrong?] She told me I didn't understand the process and stormed off to the back. She came back and said she'll give me a discount but wouldn't say anything else. Just absolutely RUDE and CHILDISH. No accountability WHATSOEVER! Then she blew me off and told me to talk to the girl at the front desk. She didn't style my hair; she didn't cut my hair again like we had discussed. She just got mad at me, even though I was never once rude to her. I wanted to walk out without paying, but I went to the desk and paid the discounted fee and left, ashamed at myself for cowering and paying her for wasting three+ more hours of my time. I was devastated, as I had been saving up money to finally treat myself and get a bold new hair do for my upcoming graduation in May. I can't say the salon, itself, is bad, but she is TERRIBLE. Halfway through our second appointment, she had another appointment scheduled, but the girl was told to go the wrong location and was going to be late. If she had been on time, she would've had to wait over an hour for her appointment. Teresa didn't get me even close to the results she promised; she works incredibly slow, which jams up her appointments and makes customers wait an excessively long time to be seen; she was quite 95% of the time, which made for so much awkward silence; and she makes promises she's not qualified to keep and countless, ridiculous excuses for those failures and holds no accountability for her mistakes. Don't waste your time and money on "Teresa Morgan Hair." Not trying to be nasty, but it's 100% the TRUTH and hopefully I can save someone else the humongous disappointment I endured. read more
