Denise has been cutting my and my wife's hair since the day 20 years ago when another salon "lost" my appointment just two days before I had an important presentation to give, and overgrown hair to give it in. Walked in and asked if someone could help, and Denise had an opening. She's always done a great job taming my unruly mane, and I've never left with mixed feelings about a cut. A style cut is cutting more than 2 inches while creating a new hairstyle.(That includes layering,beveling,shaping,etc.) (this price does not include shampoo,blow,and style) $15 and up 15 min." Well, long story short, Ms. Thing thought she was slick and was planning on charging me full price. I came into the salon freshly relaxed and blow dried. I only wanted a cut and curl. In fact, I sent her a message stating that I wanted to be curled and left her my number and email address. When I got there, she acknowledged that she received said message. I tell the shampoo girl I'm only getting cut & curled. Kelli says "oh we don't do that." Why? Because "I like to use my own products. I don't know what you put in your hair." Um, how about you just ask me what I used. She tried to tell me that I picked an add on service. But it didn't say that online (see above. Copy/pasted straight from StyleSeat.com). Plus she had my contact info. I showed her 2 pictures of pretty much the same cut, except one cut was a little longer. Needless to say, home girl chopped my hair off! And when I say chopped, I mean CHOPPED!! Uneven and chunky with too many weighted ends. I told her I didn't like what she had done so far. She then proceeded to tell me that she doesn't do just cuts and curls without shampooing. Then, she said she wasn't finished and that she still needed to go back in and "clean it up." Fine. She then said "$35." I said "how about $30." She said "I don't barter my prices. That's just where I am in my career." What!?! She didn't bother to move my ears & touched my 3x with that hot ass flat iron. I wanted to go HAM. but it's supposed to be a "Christian" Salon. Gospel music bumpin & scriptures on the walls so I minded my manners. I gave her $35 and wrote a recommendation on styleseat. Well of course she wasn't going to post a bad review, but I will. I walked in on a Saturday morning pretty much begging them to take me in because my best friend was getting married that day and I missed my appointments because I worked a 14 hour shift the day before. I was exhausted that day. With no hesitation the ladies at the front were so professional and did everything they could just to make sure i wouldn't disappoint my friend. Right away they got me in to start my make up with Mariana. The Make up artist her self was an absolute sweetheart and made me feel so comfortable. Right when I was done they put me on chair and prepped me for a hair updo style. Farah did my updo and she was just amazing herself. The amount of compliments I received that day and my hair and make up I've never received before. Thank you so much guys for such an amazing experience. Honestly.

Sure enough, I get there and am told tape ins are the only choice. I ended up having to buy them there because my hair needed to be done that day for an event. Ooookay, I was going to be spending some $ that day, anyway, so let's move on, not the end of the world. The man who put the tape ins in said literally less than ten words the entire time. I had an appointment with him 2-3 weeks later because a couple of wefts came loose, which was frustrating, and he again didn't speak. I'm almost positive it wasn't a language barrier issue because there were no attempts to be friendly even with body language? And I understand if you don't want to chat the entire time or are introverted, but damn...I really got nothin' When my extensions were finally done, and I will say they were pretty good except for the piece or two that fell out, there was no explanation of how to manage them. The worst part, though, was that he wouldn't cut them because he said they were too pretty. I mostly wanted the extensions for volume, not length.

She is also top notch for color and highlights. I regularly get compliments on my curls and color. This is a Sola salon so that is the name you will see on the sign above the entrance.
