It was a mocha caramel balayage on virgin Asian hair that was dark brown, a bit thick, coarse, and wavy. This time, I wanted an ash blonde balayage. No surprise, it was a great experience once again. Going to the hair salon evokes the same anxiety as going to the dentist for me. But Thoai took away that fear by listening to my concerns and giving advice on how to take care of my hair. I definitely recommend anyone going to Thoai for balayage. I also have to mention that his co-worker Don is also very skilled. I saw some of his work while getting my hair done. Once we started talking I showed her what I was looking for and we discussed options, we decided on a ombre that would make the bottom of my hair blue with a bit of green. The whole appointment took about 3.5 hours, but I had a book and could watch the music videos on the TV as well. It was nice to hear all the Dominican women talking while getting my hair done, it was a very lively environment, and towards the end of the evening they even offered me a cup of coffee. I highly recommend this place both because of the quality of the work and because the women who work here are great.
