I had no idea before I went to the salon that Daniel was named the World Championship Hair Stylist in Milan back in the 60s. That is just an added bonus! BTW, just because he is older doesn't mean he isn't hip. It was actually pretty cool to have someone of his caliber work on my hair. He started out by feeling the texture of my hair and then feeling my head to get an idea of the shape of my skull. Then he suggested a whole new look. He didn't have to chop off all my length or anything to get the new look. It was a matter of shaping my hair to complement my bone structure. It made a huge difference! I love my hair! My husband absolutely loves my hair! This is the first time I have been able to just wash my hair and scrunch it and go for years. I needed someone who knew how to work with my hair to allow the natural curl and wave come back without being a frizz-ball. That is what has happened. I haven't had to use a straightener once since Daniel did my hair! And the color turned out absolutely beautifully. He took the time to really understand what I want for my color. I have been so frustrated by colorists ruining my hair color by making it too dark. Daniel and his assistant, Alanna, completely got it and now I am "me" again! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I dropped her off and before I was a mile (seriously) down the road, she called me to let me know they were through! She had tears in her eyes when I picked her up. I went here for a spiral perm and wanted a good tight curl. My appointment was at 10:00am and I…read moredidn't leave this salon until 3:30pm - no joke. My hair is medium length and I have never had an issue with getting a good perm. The girl doing my hair was young and seemed like she was new and not experienced as everything she did took forever. I was patient hoping this would be a great perm. I also told her I wanted layers in my hair as well. After the rods were removed I noticed the curl seemed very loose. She barely cut any hair at all and when I mentioned to her that I had to leave in 10 min to get my son from school, she magically was done cutting even though she never did any layers and nothing touched on top. $150 and I was told she gave me a 25% discount. Waste of time and waste of money. My hair didn't look much different from before the "perm". I did call the owner and asked for a refund, she was defensive but did offer a partial refund as well as a future free haircut from her but I honestly have no desire to return to that salon. I believe she should have given me a full refund as well.
