I had basically never worn makeup, and I honestly didn't have much interest or patience for learning a complicated routine. I figured if I could just learn a few things to make myself look a little more put together, that would be enough. I ended up learning much more than I expected. Michelle showed me a very manageable skincare and makeup routine that I can do in about 6-10 minutes. That alone has been great. She also taught me a more complete look for weddings, parties, and other occasions when I want to look a little more dressed up. The best part for me was actually doing the makeup myself while Michelle guided me. She watched what I was doing, made adjustments, explained why something worked (or didn't), and gave me little tips along the way. We recorded the Zoom lessons too, which is a huge help because I can go back and watch them if I forget a step. I'm actually surprised by how comfortable I feel now. I've gotten compliments when I wear makeup, which is always nice, but more importantly, I don't feel intimidated by it anymore. I can do it myself and know what I'm doing. I'm really glad I found Michelle. To me, these lessons were an investment in something I can use for years, rather than paying someone every time I have somewhere to go.
