I used her again to sell my current home and buy the next one. So this review is X3 the value IMO! Look, I don't know why Sally said yes to us this 2nd time around because the first time we used her probably gave her some gray hairs. When we first moved to TX, my financing was delayed and we were about to lose the contract while I was in the middle of Albuquerque moving my family. Sally stepped up her game and kept the house under contract while we waited for the financing to finalize. She even got us into the house as renters in the meantime so we weren't homeless. This was an extremely difficult challenge for us and Sally really came through even though it was no where near easy. Now my 2nd experience came to a close just a few weeks ago. The buyers of my home got cold feet and pretty much backed out on the day of closing. As you could imagine, we were packed up and ready to close on our new home. Devastated, we contemplated not moving at all because of hardship this was placing on our family. Sally and her Broker Courtney jumped right it, rolled their sleeves up and got into the mud with the buyers and their agent. In the end, we closed 2 days late, but they got they deal to go through! I cannot tell you how many late night emails she answered for me, how many times we discussed strategy and how many times she came through on so many points of what we needed in our contract to buy and sell our home. If you are looking for someone who is reliable and involved in the sell of you home, go somewhere else. My Husband researched and interviewed several agents in Houston and went with Sally based on her sales in the area. After sitting down with her to discuss a listing price (what she thought we could get), we signed the contract and put the house on the market. We knew it was a little higher than what we would actually get, but we left room for negotiation and Sally agreed. Once the house went on the market, Sally went MIA. It was two weeks before we heard from her again, and that is because we contacted her about the marketing strategy: Open Houses, Advertising, etc. It wasn't until we begged to have an open house that she scheduled one. From there everything was an excuse. We had a ton of interest in the house, non of which we received feedback. Funny thing, Sally showed the house and we still received no feedback. She can't control other agents, but you would think that she would at least provide feedback to her sellers when she is the one to show the home. Over and over, we reached out to Sally for information. She would not answer phone calls which left us emailing/texting her to ask if she could call us back. I reached out to her "assistant," who unfortunately could not speak to me about my house because was not certified. At one point we were told, "this is not how she does business" "90% of the business she conducts is via email." If your client wants to talk to you over the phone, PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THEM. We were left feeling as if we were annoying her and more so an inconvenience. When it came to negotiating the sale of our home, Sally had no input or advice, nor did she provide information of what to expect when closing. We ended up with an additional $6000 due at closing in addition to the agent fees. When we asked Sally about the extra fees, she blew it off and said that she didn't think to mention because they were "typical fees." Overall, the entire experience was a complete disappointment. My house was on the market for a whopping 2.5 days, with 21 showings, before we went to Option Pending, all thanks to Sally's sage advice and cutting edge approach to real estate. Sally was such a fantastic realtor! My husband and I have grown up in Houston, yet never really experienced "inside the loop" living. We met her several months before we were actually ready to buy a home, and she still took us around to look at homes so that we could get a feel for the area. Sally was able to give us advice on which areas would best suit our needs. Finally, we were ready to start looking. She was always available to go out and look, as well as to send us listings as they came on the market. We probably looked at about 30 homes until we found the one we put our offer on.
