My daughter had a manicure and pedicure done by Laura. Manicure was done with OPI gel color. The…read morecolor application was nice. However she did not apply the color close to the cuticle so it looked like there was one week's nail growth since day 1. At 12 days, the mani looks like it is over 4 weeks old. The nails were filed somewhat slanted. The main reason I am writing this negative review is because the polish started lifting on 6 nails on day 8. This has never occurred with gel nail polish on her nails. Her mani will last at least 2 weeks in perfect conditions (normally over 3 weeks). The reason to pay extra $$ for a gel mani is for the lasting results. This was definitely not the case here. My daughter went to Laura on day 12 to show her the chipped nails. She said that she should have contacted her earlier on the day that it happened. She did not offer to re do the damaged nails or suggested any other remedy. She should have at least offered to give her a regular manicure or a credit as a goodwill gesture. My daughter got the gel mani as she had special events for the next two weeks. Her nails were a mess for her 16th birthday and she will definitely need to get a new manicure for her friend's birthday that she wanted to have them done for two weeks from when Laura did them.

So, I took her to Ellamau and BINGO! It was love at first sniff of a perfume, the name of which she has refused to divulge to me, less I expose her secret scent. Drag queens tend to be that way. Ellamau is a beautiful well laid out store with an incredibly large stock of varying perfumes along with friendly knowledgeable service. For perfumes there is no other place like it. Oddly, her fragrance choice was phenomenally good, which good taste, is not at all like her. Shhhh! Don't tell!

L'Occitane has been my go-to for years when it comes to deodorants, chapsticks, bar soaps,…read morehand-wash, hand creams, etc. I have no complaints but good things to say about their products. I like this store in particular, because even though it is small, it is well-stocked and nicely organized. One of the things I also like from this location is the amount of natural light, it makes the store look bigger and things look more appealing on the shelf. In a recent visit to this location, an itemized receipt was not provided but just the credit card machine slip with the total amount that was charged, perhaps because they were kind of busy as it was during the 20% off friends and family discount they just ran in late March/early April. Other than this, I enjoyed my experience and will return once I run out of products.

HORRIBLE! Robbed of $235. This place had good reviews on Google, must be from prior owner. I walked…read morein, had a 15 minutes wait, showed pic of what I wanted, red base with blonde tips, she said "no problem, easy". She went on and on about how good she is, how many people she has taught, how people drive hours for her to do their hair. Maybe she's good at flat ironing but she is HORRIBLE at color and her "natural" products, damaged my hair. She did the blonde first even though I told her she shouldn't. So when she did the red and rinsed it out, it deposited on the blonde making it pink and orange. She knew she messed up but now I was scared the extra processing would damage my hair. I told her I was from out of town. She said it would wash out but come back before I leave and she would fix it. 9 days I deep conditioned ready to have hair fixed. Now she says she is booked 2-3 weeks in advance, can't fit me in until after date she knows I'm leaving. I said give me refund, don't trust her to fix anyway, went over there middle of day when supposed to be open, no one there at all. Then she denied doing anything wrong & refused refund. Quick, 15 mins to take my money but then supposedly booked for weeks & refused accountability. I had to pay someone else to cover the whole thing up and give me close to a consistent color so I didn't stay looking like a clown. This messed up having good pictures with family & friends.
