I purchased an auto trans unit from these guys with a 90 day warranty, and a 100% guarantee that its was 100% tested to be in perfect working order.
I installed it and it was broken. Their front desk asked me to have to assessed by my mechanic for what was wrong. Found out that it was broken, all 3 bands of the drum were worn out. By this stage i had spent $1000 to find this out, more than the unit costed. They then told me they couldn't replace it and i would have to spend several more hundreds $$ to have it removed and transported back to them to get a refund on the cost price. They refused to offer any other way to deal with the problem.
A front desk employee told me that they don't actually test every thing they sell, contradicting what they told me when i was a potential customer
They lied to me to gain sale (enter contract), and then refused to take responsibility for this lie. I am a pensioner , and they are a huge business company,
most likely in the multi-million $$ range. i am now left with the only option, take them to civil small claims court to try and get compensation for there poor business
ethics. I haven't had a car that works now since 23rd March 2012.
This is the very worst type business practice to lie out right to gain a sale on the off chance that their lies end up being true, and then to take zero responsibility for their behavior.
I spent $880 on the unit, $1000 since to install & assess what is wrong with it, and now have to pay $2400 to have it working again. $$4280 for what should have cost me approx $1300 if they didn't lie to me. I refrain from using swear words to describe them, but i am sure you can imagine with words starting with F & C & A.
DO NOT GO TO THEM UNLESS YOU CAN ASSESS THE PART YOU PURCHASE 100% YOURSELF!!! read more
