I tried to pay this ticket every week and as soon as it hit to 30 days late they sent me a letter. It seems the County or Monterey is in a massive money grab. I know I am not the only one out there. Also, my account manager hung up on me because I asked to speak with a supervisor. I would rather get an attorney than pay these people for trying to get money out of the public.

Then the message is repeated in Spanish. She never addresses us by name and it is hard to understand her. I believe this may be a "spoofed" number, meaning that although the Caller ID number is indeed the number for the Revenue Division for Monterey County, I doubt that the caller is actually calling from there. I hope the county will look into this as we've been getting these calls for over a year.
