True to his word, Thomas showed up and walked my wife and me through the refinishing process, discussed the best staining options, talked about a couple small areas that needed repair/replacement, and provided a timeline for him to perform all the work. He was also a great resource as we considered other flooring options in other parts of our home (tile for example). The quote he gave us was more than reasonable - since we were dealing directly with Thomas, who was the person principally doing the work, there wasn't any markup for "overhead". We really have had great experiences with locally-owned, small businesses in Jacksonville, and Floor Boyz was one of the best. Thomas showed up and you could tell that he is a craftsman who understands wood flooring and takes great pride in his work, which shows in the care and time he took to make sure everything was done perfectly. After just sanding, we almost wanted to stop because the floors (older parquet, white oak) looked amazing! It just got better after he stained the floors and then after all of the polyurethane coating, they looked and felt absolutely amazing. In the process, we got to know Thomas - what a great guy and father. We truly enjoyed him and looked forward to him being in our house to visit with him. He may not have a fancy truck, or a uniform, or expensive advertising trying to sell the customer, but Thomas and Floor Boyz do an amazing job! I wouldn't hesitate to call Thomas if I need refinishing or installation (whether hardwood or luxury vinyl product) of my floors and I know I'd be more than pleased with the work and the price!
