I had three people in specific that made this experience a very stress free and quick one: - Abbie: She made sure I was up to date with the procedures and timeframes of my rental including being very understanding when my insurance company didn't pass me on the correct details of my vehicle return date. She also noticed that at the end of my rental I had left my keys in the car and promptly arranged for its' delivery to my residence as I couldn't pick it up. due to schedules mismatch - Kyle: For making my post accident experience of having to get a replacement car go so smoothly. - Taco: The legend who went out of his way to deliver my keys to my residence! When traveling on business or pleasure and you need a reliable, trustworthy car reservation, Rentalcars.com and its roster of car rental agents cannot be counted on. Specifically, on Feb. 22 I chose Ace Car Rental for a trip to St Croix (STX) in April. My credit card was charged $275.08 that day. We were scheduled to arrive in STX on April 12 @ 5:30 p.m. While waiting to board in San Juan, P.R., airline says flight is delayed 1 hour. I call Rentalcars.com at 4:00 to advise. They call their agent Ace in St Croix, who says if I'm not there by 6:00 office will be closed & have to wait until the next day to get car. This was not a workable option. Our plane actually landed STX at 6:15. I call Ace as we are taxing to the gate & they say too bad, you're out of luck. Ace's advertised corporate motto (see photo): "We meet all flights at anytime." That is a lie. Ace had 2 hrs notice & our plane was only 45 min late. Deceitful & fraudulent advertising. I was there on the appointed day within an hour of the appointed time & still wanted the car. Rentalcars.com and Ace will not perform on the rental contract - they left me high & dry. I had no choice but to cancel that nite & secure a ($200 more expensive) car from another company. This isn't about cancellation (Ace's position); it's about lack of performance on a contract entered into with a customer. Ace is wholly at fault. Take my word for it - avoid Rentalcars.com and Olympic Ace Rental Cars in St. Croix at all costs. Unless you enjoy being screwed over. The company takes your money and runs.

They knew where we were, the often over-quizzed location, (there is no "flat name") was noted down with no problem, five minutes. Great one. However his route of choice was questionable. Is a shortcut a longer route around because of an inability to stop in traffic lights? It's not a shortcut, it's impatience. Traffic and traffic lights go hand in hand with town. Don't hit the empty back streets and open ring roads and give the impression that it's a shortcut. hmm. Forgiven for now. What I don't understand about many of Manchester's taxis is that they don't know where a lot of my destinations are. When I'm a little sketchy I expect the taxi driver, the authority behind the wheel to fill in the gaps. Often it's a case of guessing games, more so this time than ever. I don't know, is it to too much to expect? We paid £9 driving around Manchester city centre which was a usual £5 fare. And we never made it to the Star and Garter. Was it that difficult? So change of night and venue due to this taxi driver, hardly impressive. Northern Quarter again we find ourselves, not really questioning the failure of the taxi driver or the fare. On the way back there was less hassle thank god. Considering other reviewers have given a five star service, Manchester Cars remains in the phone device for now..

Our driver gave a fairly smooth ride, impressive given the traffic, and talked rapidly but personably. Phone dispatch went pretty smoothly and the rates were reasonable; overall, a pretty good experience.
