I was dizzy, felt sick and had a heavily beating heart, and was very anxious that I could not make it much longer. Thank God, I was able to pull out of traffic and park at Chevron. It was an extremely hot day, and the attendant immediately stepped in to help me as I was at a loss, needing a savior. He led me to the small shelter (without a fan for those workers) and gave me water and a soda, for I am hypoglycemic and was having a shock and was holding my crying daughter. He got me food from my car, an ice cream for her, and waved me with a board to cool me down as I hyperventilated, waiting for my family to come pick me up. He eventually called the fire department to check my vitals as I struggled to stay present. He was nothing less than an angel stepping in like that, and I no doubt would have collapsed in the sun in shock, crying with my daughter, had he not helped us. Thank you, sir, you saved us.

When he came back, he took care of the people who came after me and they left, but he didn't come to my car... he went inside. it was really hot in my car and I waited quite a while before he finally came back for me. I politely explained it was hot in the car and he should have taken care of me before the person behind me who had already left (now there were new people behind me.) the attendant got defensive and said "I am here alone and the world does not revolve around me." I KNOW the world doesn't revolve around me, which is why I waited patiently to be helped, BUT I do expect to be helped in the order in which I arrived since my car is ready to leave. the attendant also said I could leave on my AC but apparently, he doesn't know that my AC will NOT stay on if my ignition is OFF - the downside to having keyless ignition.

I am elderly and disabled and use a walker. The man behind the counter was having trouble with his cash register and had to change to the other machine, all the while blaming me for his mistake, saying I "didn't listen to his instructions". I explained that I didn't understand a word he said to me. His accent, either Indian or Pakistani, was so thick I honestly didn't think he was speaking English, and I am very good at working with people with accents. ( I used to dispatch cab in Portland.) Now anyone can have a bad day, but this guy seemed intent on sharing HIS bad day with everyone else. Total disrespect to another man, 30 plus years older than him, disabled, with a walker, and by the time he finally completed the transaction correctly and I collected my items, he was yelling at me, calling me a morherf*****. Really? That's how you treat an older customer? With zero respect? I will pray his day ends on a positive note. I will go to Plaid Pantry from now on, where I am always treated well!
