A local recommended this spot for "basic" Italian food and I'd agree that's accurate. I couldn't tell via the website that they took reservations so we tried to walk in on a Saturday evening before the marathon. Originally the host tried to seat us outside at a table quite far away from the other outside seating. It felt like an awkward placement so I asked if we could sit inside. They said they had a table available for about an hour so we decided to take it since we didn't plan to linger. We ordered 3 spaghetti bolognese, one gnocchi and 3 salads. The bolognese was certainly not the best - my friends felt it reminded them of Chef Boyadee. I wouldn't go that far and also this isn't Italy. My friend who had the gnocchi loved it! The restaurant got the job done in terms of providing carbs for runners and didn't rush us at all given our timed table. This must be a popular spot because tons of people were showing up and turned away, so I'm glad they were able to accommodate us; however, I'd probably try another Italian place next time. read more
