I went to Sakura after work to get a take away dinner. I chose the big sashimi for 200 kr. It was very quickly delivered and beautifully arranged, with a nice assortment of fish. Though, my first impression was that it looked like a really small portion for the price (at least when you are not eating the rice). The pieces are no big sashimi chunks, but the same size as you would get on a nigiri.
And then there was the ponzu sauce. I'm really no fan of ponzu sauce with sashimi to begin with (and would have asked for soy instead if I known in time what was included) but this one was really not good, very sweet and with a synthetic feel - reminding me more of a cheap sallad dressing than anything else. Not at all what I'm looking for with a fresh sashimi.
Except from the sauce, the sashimi tasted good. The fish was fresh and the the portion (although small) was filling.
All and all: this is a good place for a weekday dinner - but stay away from the ponzu sauce, and you'll probably get more value for your money with a sushi. read more
