Olive Garden at the airport! I haven't been to Olive Garden in ages, so it was nice to find a…read morelittle bit of home in Brazil. The decor looked similar to the Olive Gardens back home in terms of the seating and plates and menus and stuff. Food was similar, too.
I was able to request an English menu, so that was nice because I don't know Portuguese. However, I wanted the unlimited soup and salad meal, and the server didn't really offer that to me. After requesting a soup and then a salad, I sat for a long time with my empty dishes... and no one ever came by again to ask if I wanted anything else. Did they not expect me to order any more food? I guess I'm a piggy that wanted more, and I really had to go bug someone to get another soup.
All-in-all, it was okay, but not a fabulous experience. One of my soups was lukewarm and not piping hot, so that wasn't great, either. But beggars can't be choosers for a taste of home.
