A local Methodist church located in the Marble Hill area of The Bronx, New York City and historical with a long standing history dating back to 1897 designed by noted architect Alexander McMillan Welch. Its origins was comprised of a Methodist Episcopal society in an old school house that stood near Warner's store in the Mosholu area of The Bronx. Today in 2016 still standing and actively servicing it contains live jazz lunch on select Wednesday afternoon embedded with a brief prayer service.
For the Christian community and by the Christian community it appears very active with events and service. The regular attendees are welcoming, friendly and courteous to guests and outsiders. This Christian church sits on a corner of 228th Street on a very steep hill. I am baffled as to why there are no reviews because St. Stephen's United Methodist Church has existed for decades. read more
