Part of the Star Tours, St Paul de Vence is a small town (population of 3,000) that we stopped into for 50 minutes on a Saturday in January. It is low season for the French Riveria, so most of the restaurants were closed, but quite a few of the retail shops were open. Our guide told us that there is some wine production in this region, but no winery that has wine tasting.
We saw some older men playing Petanque in a dirt yard next to a drinking establishment, a game very similar to bocce ball. All the walking trails are lined with a sun motif, using similarly shaped stones. read more
