When I was at Touchstone, not only did I receive an incredible education in terms of the necessary math, science, and literary skills to go on to be extremely successful in higher level courses in High School, but also every skill necessary to take on the inevitable academic adversities that have come my way further on in my doctorate program at Northeastern University. I find myself still recalling the study skills I once learned at Touchstone, the ability to problem solve new situations that I may not have had to overcome in my more traditional high school education. One of the most important things I have come to appreciate as I get further into Higher Education is the knowledge of how to learn and apply yourself related to my own abilities and preferences.The skills I learned at Touchstone allowed me to tackle the rest of my schooling with confidence and a level head, one of the hardest things to maintain throughout schooling these days. Socially, the model at Touchstone allows for kids to grow as individuals, while building relationships along the way. There is no room for degradation of others due to deviating from the norm and becoming one's best self. I was able to explore all of my interests, and find out areas I could prosper moving forward. Overall, Touchstone was by far the most wholistic aspect of my education thus far. It gave me the skills to tackle every aspect of life with enthusiasm, determination, and general fulfillment, constantly staying in touch with my long term goals while enjoying all the moments along the way.

After searching the area for what we considered the type of learning environment we wanted our child in we were very disappointed...Then one day my wife called and said "I've found the place! You have to see it..." and it was Goddard School in Northboro. It was worth every penny. My child was immersed in a social and educational environment that had her more than prepared for what "big kid school" had waiting for her. Goddard has excellent structure. They have detailed weekly themes and plans and daily reports that can be as involved as you need. How much your child ate...bathroom trips...sleeping...you name it. They have a great classroom setup divided by age...from wee little babies all the way to the big kids on their way to school in a year. They even have transitional periods for the kids to adjust to new rooms and they try their best to send kids up in small groups together. How great is it when your child makes great friends at such a young age. The place was always clean. The bathrooms were clean...The outdoor play areas were varied and exciting for the kids. Next time you see an open house step in an check it out. Your child will some day thank you for it... It sure beats sitting them in front of a tv for 4 years until they start school... Nothing is better than a child rolling into kindergarten reading and writing and doing math! Goddard had safe, isolated computers in every room for the kids to learn PC skills and play learning games on. Putt Putt saves the Zoo will forever be synonymous with computer time for my child. You are expected to punish, harshly, for things that happen at school due to symptoms of neurodivergence & the lack of support thereof. He was four years old when he started, so preparation for kindergarten and socialization with other preschoolers was key. I have seen him gain so much self condidence and independence. He runs in his classroom each day eager to meet his friends. It is so cute to see. At the end of the day, he is never ready to leave. He's having so much fun. This is our last month at Shrewsbury Children's Center and I will miss the all teachers and staff. I feel my child has had a wonderful learning experience at this school and would highly recommend it for children of any age. He is ready and excited to be starting Kindergarten in the fall.
